I noted that Generator's facilities have improved accordingly. Is my second time visiting and I have recommended Generator due to its excellent location and very good price. The cleanliness is good and staff seems ok. I did not interact very much with the staff to be fair (the lady at the check In whom I don't remember the name seemed remarkably good at her job at the reception and I think she should be recognised; she looks ukranian BTW and was told she managed spanish).

The hostel is ok, much bigger than my expectation which means you need to expect that you are staying eith huge amount of people inside the building. For my room there is no window, it will be completely dark if no light is on. If you fancy a traditional hostel experience, I would not recommond this.

The Accommodation was fine but the organisation And commutation between staff was lacking we weren’t allowed to check in until 2, however when I did check in I still had dirty sheets from some random the night before and had to ask the staff to change them 3 times. So really I couldn’t check in until 4pm. I paid for late check out at 1pm however at 10am the following morning I had multiple staff coming telling me to check out. So over all I wasn’t I’m pressed with the stay.

It's a good place to meet other travellers, the only issue was the food took hours to come for dinner and there is mould in the room I was in on the roof. But if you don't care about that then still a good place to stay.

Won't be staying here again. The staff were really unfriendly, told us there was free luggage storage and then directed us to lockers you have to pay for. The elevator also broke whilst we were there, we were staying on the 5th floor and my friend has a physical disability so she struggled with getting up the stairs, we felt unable to mention it to staff or ask for help as they were so hostile. We weren't told our keycards can deactivate too so had to walk down to get them fixed.

I was mildly disappointed with my stay at Generator. I think that sometimes there’s a fine line between what makes a hostel tolerable and what makes it bad. Every other hostel except this one that I’ve stayed at has USB/outlet access directly next to the cots. This small detail can make all the difference. They don’t even have individual reading lights. Also, the WiFi is pretty rough and logs you out every time your phone locks. You must then log back on multiple times which is pretty annoying.

The security in this place is horrible, if you’re on the underground floor anyone can get in! One girl in my room even got her key card stolen then following that her passport and credit cards were stolen too, didn’t feel very safe at all. Yes there is a security guard outside at night but it didn’t seem like they were checking who was coming in. If you’re going to book this hostel, try get a room on the upper levels where it’s more safe. Also they staff were quite rude upon arrival.
