Unfortunately there's no kitchen. Would be perfect if it had a kitchen.

It will be ideal if the price in the cafeteria is lower or the same as the local cafeteria and if there is more variety on the menu for Asia food such as rice and noodle other than burger or pizza.

    Very Good

The facilities were great and so close to Euston station which was very handy. I had a beer at the bar too which had a lovely atmosphere, I paid £49 for one night and my room was amazing, very clean and modern and comfortable double bed. Aside from that, I had an issue with security. The doors do not lock from the inside which is understandable in a hostel but my door would keep opening when a gust of wind would by, I found it hard to sleep so I had to block my door with chairs.

    Very Good

I would stay again despite a couple minor issues.. Considering it’s location in central London, the value for money is good. I was happy that the room I was in was far enough away that you couldn’t hear the music from the bar area, but Can’t speak for other rooms. The room had a damp stale/musty smell that was quite strong, but other than that no issues with cleanliness. Security could be better, literally anyone could walk in at anytime, only time you need a key card is to enter the rooms.

A nice looking hostel upon entry, but they charge over-the-top for everything. Food/drinks vending machine is costly. They also want you to pay £4 for a towel...a deposit scheme of £4 deposit and £1 rental, like many hostels do around the world, would be a better idea thus reducing waste. Not every floor of the 6 floors have showers...nightmare!. There isn’t even a mirror in every dorm! It’s not an horrendous hostel...I was just expecting more convenience for a hostel in the U.K. at that price.

Overall ok hostel, perfect if you just need a bed to sleep in and a shower! Was really expensive which was frustrating as I am trying to travel on a budget- but this is likely to be because I stayed over New Years. Have to pay for luggage storage. Would be great if they had a kitchen but nice bar food anyway. Stayed in a 12 person dorm and was smelly, uncomfortable at times with a weird guy but overall ok. Bar downstairs open until 3 which I didn’t visit but seemed to have a good atmosphere!

So disappointed. The staff had no respect for the guests and were constantly yelling outside the dorms at 6am. I was ignored at the front desk for 15 minutes and 4 people were served before me. They don’t provide towels so I brought my own, which got stolen from my bed. The showers have no place to store your clothes so you have to do a balancing act the whole time to make your stuff not get soaked. All the rooms echo and the bar has music playing very loudly until quite late.

While the staff at the Generator were clearly hardworking and well meaning, reception was constantly busy and perhaps understaffed, leading to some simple errors. When I arrived, there were no towels left for hire, my dorm room access card didn’t work, and the girl I met beside me found her room to be still dirty! The bathrooms are also much in need of an upgrade. However, location and the bar made up for some of these issues, and I could walk to some great places around beautiful London.

Bathrooms were not clean at all, ended up avoiding the showers after the first time using them. Rooms were small, but nice since there was a sink in the room and the space was fairly clean. Overnight staff were not particularly helpful when trying to get to the airport the next morning, and not giving enough information on location or amenities. The hostel could have been nice if it was kept cleaner and more friendly. I've stayed at 3 other Generators and this is the only one I wouldnt return to

The rooms were extremely small to the point that packing your bag on the floor gets in the way of everyone. The bathrooms were not close to the rooms so you have to trek at night to use them. Showers were also so small that the clothes you would hang to wear after would get soaked. The staff was also not overly friendly, I felt like a bother asking them anything.
