Over all very happy with stay. The location was great and the local coffee shops were awesome too. Easy access to both Russel Square and Kings Cross Station. The only downfall was the shared bathrooms. There was only 2 showers working “properly” in the female bathroom on my level. However, it was never too busy so was always able to get one :) Other than that it was a great hostel :)

Pros: Great location, nice atmosphere, clean room, beds, toilets and showers. Great place to stay and excellent price. I really like and recommend this place Cons: The only bad thing was not enough electric socket in the room. There were only two sockets for 8 beds, so charging your phone and power banks was nearly impossible, I think two extensions will make a huge difference for charging things in your room. There are sockets in the common areas though. Definitely recommended hostel.

I would stay again, I felt comfortable throughout my stay. Good nights rest, good breakfast price of 8£ and staff seemed friendly. Great bar with great choices, music and the atmosphere was fun.

My stay was very good in general. The location is amazing. However, there are also many things that the hostel should improve, especially when it comes to UX (user experience). For example, there are no power sockets next to the bed so you have to charge your phone next to the wall in a corner. The mirror is also hidden in a corner of the room (only half mirror). The shower in girl bathroom is designed for short people, if you are over 170cm, you will be too tall for the shower head, etc.

    Very Good

Staff were great and helpful. Close to the train station for the Eurostar to Paris which is good. There is a restaurant just down the road on the corner that does a English breakfast for £6.5 with coffee or unlimited breakfast at the hostel for around £8. Both are great! We stayed in a four bed mixed dorm. Was clean the only problem was that we had to walk across the hallway to get to the bathroom for a shower and the hot water was broken so only got one half decent warm shower.

I have stayed in many generators, they are my go to when booking a trip away. This generator wasn’t at the standard of the others. Staff weren’t welcoming and our private room shower was cold. Check in require passports, for someone travelling from within the Uk this wasn’t packed.

    Very Good

Being the 6th time I stayed at a Generator I was expecting the same sleek, polished dorm room I had gotten used to. I was surprised when this wasn’t the case with the 12 person dorm in the basement that I stayed in here, which was pretty outdated and a little dingy. But still a comfortable room and bathroom was very clean, so can’t complain! Staff were friendly as always and location is nice.

Location was perfect! The room was good, however there were stains on the linen. Didn't feel like the place had much of a vibe and the staff weren't very welcoming or friendly. Would stay again for the location.

    1. Horrible access. Suitcases to be brought up through entrance into lobby. They need to provide a ramp or elevator. People with disabilities will struggle. 2. Staff take a long time respond. 3. Showers and rooms are very small and crammed in comparison to another hostel I stayed at in London.

Pretty average hostel, expected similar quality to Generator Paris but definitely not the same. Power outlets need to be better positioned for top bunkers.
