I will easily stay here again. Great staff, great rooms (13-person rooms) and great amenities. I’ve stayed in ALOT worse places than this. I was due to stay in Camden for a night, but due to the accessibility I stayed here for a further night. WiFi is fantastic in the bar with sky sports available are the weekend. The only problem I had was that the room really smelled. I don’t know why. But it did. May or have been the room, may have been the occupants...who’s to know

For me the Generator was convenient, clean and surprisingly quiet, during my weekend course at the British Library. Waitrose, a chemist and a medium sized shopping centre less than 2 minutes away. I had a private room with a single bunk. There was the added bonus of a sink, desk, a chair and a hanging rail. The bathroom was shared and, depending on your room, could be quite a walk away. Only improvement would be to add an integral bedside light and socket/usb point. I’d highly recommend.

The hostel itself is good clean, rooms quiet and good lobby area. My issue is you have to pay for small things, such as temporary luggage storage you have to pay for should you not be leaving till later. That said, it is a cheap way to stay in London, and location is ideal, with close proximity to train and tube stations.

Nice hostel in a good area. Staff weren’t very helpful and were quite rude, no events put on by the hostel, not a very inclusive atmosphere. Left here to go to a hostel around the corner and had a much better time there.

This was a nice hostel but very basic and anything extra expect to pay. There is only one set of toilet/showers on a floor and floors are big so expect waits at peak times and expect to walk to get there.

The toilets are horrible. Especially the so called ""bathrooms"" that have a toilet and 2 showers where the floors are super dirty and there is no space to turn around or leave your things somewhere close to the shower and feel at peace. Barely closed the toilet door cuz the inside is so tiny. (Just to be clear Im 180cm tall and 78kg, so Im neither too tall or too wide) You cant bring in your own food or drinks No chill area to do ur work or relax. Just the loud bar.

The hostel is in amazing location and I can’t fault that at all. The reception area and communal areas are lovely but when we went into our room, it absolutely stank of rotten eggs from the drains. We were also underneath the nightclub area so couldn’t sleep as there was loud music and banging until really well into the morning. I don’t think they should put rooms directly under the club as it was awful. There was also only one bathroom for the entire floor which was very far from our room

The bathrooms were dingy and dirty. There’s one drain for 6 showers meaning the floor is flooded constantly with everyone’s hair and whatever else floating around. Thongs are an absolute necessity. There’s also barley any ventilation so it’s incredibly hot. There’s no where to hang your stuff or get changed without your stuff getting wet. Breakfast and other food is over priced for what you expect from a hostel
