I can honestly say that the Generator made my overall Berlin trip so marvelous. Upon arrival, I had some difficulties with payment but the staff was so helpful and patient. The room (all female dorm) was nice, clean and spacious, with each bed having a locker for your belongings. The bathroom was clean (as clean as a shared public bathroom could get). It's conveniently located to both an S-Bahn stop and a tram stop, both of which are a 2-minute walking distance.

The place felt safe, we had to purchase a lock but there were a decent amount of lockers. Location felt rather far from city centre, but mostly because there was construction going on nearby that made the commute to the city centre and back more difficult. Staff was polite and accommodating. The atmosphere would've been enjoyable if not for a bunch of kids. Facilities were clean, with the exception of some gum and other drawings on the bottom of the bed I slept under. Good value overall!

    Very Good

Wonderful place but the fact that there are 7 floors with one elevator that can only hold 4 people is not acceptable. Also, we were told that we had breakfast with our stay. Went to breakfast and was humiliated in front of everyone that we were not allowed to get it. Then the front desk shouldn’t tell guest that it is included and put the times on the hotel key. Last, front desk didn’t know things about the area and couldn’t give recommendations. The bar and atmosphere was great

Check-in using the app before you get there! It is a really basic hostel and quite cheap -you get what you pay for. Location is ok, right on the ring-bahn and you can actually walk to Alexander place if you don't mind the 35 minutes. Tips are to make sure you bring your own lock for the under-bed lockers and flip flops for the shower. The Rewe round the corner is excellent for a coffee in the morning and a laugenbrezel. There is also a DM in case you need toiletries.

my stay wasn’t enjoyable. Reception staff very rude and not helpful at all. Didn’t give information about the city, nearly had to beg for help to buy a cigarette in the machine they have. A group of students of 16 yo were staying in the same corridor as me, running around and kicking the doors, I complained in the reception no one did anything. €6 for bread and coffee breakfast??? Bar staff was nice. The place is good for its excellent location thats all.

The guy at the front desk was incredibly rude to us after we had to go up and down the stairs twice to 2 different rooms which were full- this was at 12:00 am after a long day travelling. However once we expressed our annoyance and some bargaining he upgraded us to a private room with no extra cost- yet still didn’t apologise

The beds were not the best, the pillows were terrible. But, it was a bed to sleep in at the end of the day! The breakfast was AWESOME! Lots to choose from. The employees were not very kind. Overall it’s too expensive for what it was worth. Far away from the city as well.

Usually i don't give bad reviews but this is definitely one of the places were I have felt more unwelcome in all my life, the staff was quite rude all the time, it seems that this people don't want to work there, seriously i'm paying to stay here is not a favor for god sake! Also the place charges for the towel, is this like a new policy? If you are going to do this please put it in what is cover in the price. 5 euros per towell, it's like 33% of the daily fee, what a ripoff.
