Eco hostel is one of the most amazing hostels i have been to. Facilities are very basic but thats the best part about it. The one who has made this hostel has put so much effort into it and the attention to detail in each and every thing is just beyond words. The boys at the hostel (hosts) are super nice and helpful. Looking forward to visiting gili meno again for diving and eco hostel.

We loved our stay here. The treehouse was very comfortable and the setting was beautiful. Compost toilets were basic, but as long as you're not expecting luxury it's fine

Great hostel, right on the beach. A really chilled out friendly vibe. Good for meeting people. Unfortunately the pizza and bonfire night wasn’t on when we were there as that would have been great. I also can’t praise the lovely friendly staff enough for being so welcoming. There was an earthquake during our stay and they did everything that they could to ensure that everyone was safe & accounted for. Well done to them for how they dealt with the terrifying situation :)

Really don’t listen to the negative reviews. This is a magical place and a magical island. Yes, it’s an eco hostel, which means that facilities as basic, but they are kept clean and well maintained. The rooms are so cool too! Like sleeping in a tree house. The staff are always around which made me (a solo female traveller) feel very safe. It’s right on the beach with a beautiful deck to gaze out over the water. Wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you!

Great Hostel. Nice staff and very relaxing atmosphere. If you visit it in the next two months you'll meet new friends, I promise you that. (Some people are volunteering there and always happy to meet other people.)

Beautiful location, fantastic for snorkelling and for passing a relaxed day. Staff were kind and friendly. We loved the compost toilets and the showers. The atmosphere at the hostel exemplified what life is about on Gili Meno - community, conversation, chilling out, and ecology. I'd encourage other travellers to choose this hostel and experience life without the resource-intensive amenities we tend to be used to. And if you're prepared for mosquitos, you're prepared for everything!

The idea of this hostel for most guests would be somewhere quiet to relax, however unfortunately that was not my experience here. There are an unusual amount of work away staff - I think there were more than the number of guests staying here! It's therefore difficult to know who works here and therefore who to ask for what. I was also kept awake until about 2am as my private room was right next to the bar and everyone was so loud and so was the music. Hostel has great potential though.

It is exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a basic treehouse. Not saying it was awful but be prepared that is doesn’t look exactly like the photos. Also if there is a storm you will be rumbled out of bed and the toads will keep you up. Staff are lovely though and will do absolutely anything to make you feel at home.
