This place isn't a hostel. It's basically a two-story apartment with 4-5 different rooms (with mixed beds) a single shared bathroom (that is clean) and a shared common room and kitchen. If you need a cheap place to safely drop your stuff and come home to at the end of the day, this is perfect. If you are looking for a hostel vibe where you can make friends, and be integrated immediately into a fun vibe, definitely pay the extra money to stay at a hostel. The owners are kind, the wifi works.

The place is good enough for a couple of nights. I spent only one night and you can get there by walk from the Santa Lucia train station. It's in a calm street. Just note the door number before you get there. I got confused the first time with the door no. but later realised it was pretty simple.

This was a fairly good hostel as hostels go. The staff were very support when I temporarily lost my passport, but I can also see why they have been reviewed as unfriendly. I would say they’re nice enough people, but don’t give off the warm, welcoming hospitality that makes a really good hostel. They weren’t super accomidating. They did offer me coffee though, which was nice. But it was a place to stay, and a comfortable, clean one. Don’t have too high of expectations. But yeah, it’ll work.

I enjoyed my time there. It was very quiet and extremely clean. Pillows weren't the best, and there isn't a very good sense of community between travelers, but some people enjoy that. Not enough wall plugs either. But the location was in a perfect spot especially with the boats close and a grocery store right around the corner.

    Very Good

Super clean appartement, nice location, good facilities (had a fridge and cooking space). The owner is this guy who sits in the living all day and is a bit odd (annoyingly intrusive at times). Thumbs up overall though.

The place was ok-ish, but for that price it is hard to find a double private room with higher standards. I would recommend this if you are staying only one night. The shower leaks and makes the whole bathroom floor wet and the mattress is as bent as the Pisa tower, so I guess it contributes to the Italy experience. The staff is friendly but nothing exceptional. The location is convenient for the train station and a bit far from the piazza San Marco, which means far from tourist hordes.

All the feedback on this place is true. The owner is nice enough, but he just followed you around everywhere. He is very anal about everything. I felt very unwelcome and always being watched. You go to the kitchen he is there, you step out of the bathroom and he is there. He disabled all the heaters and the place was cold. He even put a piece of paper over the thermostat, saying don't touch due to security reasons. Is obvious he is a penny pincher. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

This was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. And its not due to the facilities but rather because the hostel owner/caretaker weren't friendly. The owner would come inspect the rooms randomly, check the heating and turn it off completely. We were asked to vacant the hostel immediately after the checkout. My experience was very bad, I felt like as if I was staying in the hostel for free.

The rudest hostel owner I ever met. They treated as like someone who stay there as free.
