Came to Adelaide and stayed in another hostel in the city just to find myself in Glenelg Beach every night. Booked this place immediately when the nights at the other hostel in the city ran out and couldn’t be happier! Cutest rooms right in the hustle of Glenelg. So much to do around the beach. Will definitely stay again!

Glenelg Beach Hostel was great. W stayed the 13th to the the 15th of April 2019. Room was basic but clean and spacious. Facilities were excellent for our needs and location, could not ask for better. I definitely recommend a stay while in Adelaide. Nancy Russo, Sydney

The manager was extra accommodating, even when my flight came in very late, helped me settle in quickly. The reception in the morning were helpful in answering all my questions and in assisting me with a taxi. A first class backpackers

this hostel was excellent. the location is unbeatable!!! stay here just for the surrounding area and you’ll thank me. the staff was very helpful and friendly. a huge bonus was being able to lock up our luggage after check out. we had a few things to do and check out was at 10am. the manager offered us spots in the storage locker to which only she had a key. it was a great relief to know our things were safe

Really great place to stay - my accommodation had fallen through when I was supposed to be in Adelaide for an intensive at Flinders Uni, and Glenelg Beach Hostel had a spot for me. Lovely atmospheric old building, lovely women in the all-female dorm room I stayed at. Great spot, will stay there next time I have to be in Adelaide!

nice, old and traditional looking building. Had a Nice, clean and quiet histel , my room had a former fireplace made of marbel with big mirror above, only single beds, no bunk beds. Clean toilet and showers. Only the reception area was a bar at the same time and tehrerfore smelled like alcohol all the time. But very nice and helping staff.

Cons: 1. No internal access to common facilities, eg. kitchen. At night, when it’s cold outside, not convenient setup. 2. Toilet basins have separate hot and cold taps - this should be upgraded already to mixer taps. 3. Shower room basin is too small; it was also blocked so that it was hard to use. 4. There is no shelf or holder for toiletries in shower cubicle (Pro: good water pressure and shower rose).

Good if you enjoy sharing a smelly room with construction workers. Bathrooms were the worst of any hostel I have stayed in. Atmosphere is cemetery-like on a good day. Staff were nice though, and I liked that the beds were not bunk beds. Also close to tram line, so you can get the hell out of Glenelg.
