Hostelworld says

Goodnight Hostel is set in a building which Hostelworld guests say 'feels like a big shared house' and is 'surrounded by restaurants'. Our users praise the 'excellent' staff more than anything else, saying they are 'always willing to help'; one visitor said 'everyone was really nice and very helpful with giving advice on how to get to places, where to go and what to do'. Guests have also highly recommended the free walking tour. We like that this hostel not only makes 'delicious, homemade' pancakes for breakfast but that they're also served until noon.

Property Description

Out hostel can't be more central. It is situated in the heart of Lisbon's historical downtown, close to all main attractions. Decorated with a retro touch, our nice staff will welcome you with a smile and give you a lot of nice tips regarding our city. Every evening we offer Sangria to our guests, a good way to meet people and to start your evening.

We have different type of rooms with comfortable beds (attention: our twin rooms have bunk beds), nice design bathrooms, two common rooms, a nice kitchen with cooking equipment, free Internet and Wi-Fi. (Please note that we have 3 dorms of 3 persons. If you want to ensure to be in the same '3 dorm' of your friend, please contact the hostel previously. The system doesn't necessary allocate the guests in the same room. We also want to insist on the fact that we have no elevator.

Our facilities also include free lockers, free bed linen and … we make great pancakes for breakfast :)

Also we prepare for you a lot of events. Check this out:

- Wildwalkers Tour - Tours based on tips through the most traditional areas of Lisbon. Alfama, Bairro Alto, Baixa-Chiado everyday
- Pub Crawl - Party in Bairro Alto, our nightlife district everyday.
- Heaps of tours - form mid April, we'll have amazing tours everyday, some in the beaches around lisbon, some in Lagos (Algarve) with our buddy Vicente. (
- Salty sailor Dinners - during the high season, we try to cook for you a fresh and complete dinner at a low price. Guests love it...
- Bar night - Every Saturdays one of our cool employee prepare nice cocktails at a low price

Great location in a charming little hostel right in the center of Lisbon. Free sangria attracts a fun crowd in the evenings and the pub crawl is a good time. Solid lockers for security and the staff were always very helpful with recommendations. I extended my stay one night and I'm coming back next weekend!

Unique hostel, felt more like a share house than your traditional hostel in the way that it was friendly and relaxed- nice homely touches with retro furniture and indoor plants. Great atmosphere and easy to meet other travellers in the bar / lounge area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Perfect location. Kitchen is small so if there's a few people wanting to cook at the same time it can take a while. Would stay again !

Had a great time at this hostel. Was lucky and put into a part of the female dorm room that has a curtain that separates 2 beds from the rest of the dorm, made us feel like we were in a private room instead of a dorm! The bathrooms were always very clean and never occupied (and there is another bathroom that’s for the mixed dorm that you can use too). Breakfast was amazing and free. The staff was great at helping out with any request we had. Also at a central location of Lisboa!

Felt like this hostel is a tourist trap, facilities were not as promised, girls on day reception not helpful, in shortcut just bad value for money, much better hostels around for half the price.

Goodnight Lisbon Hostel says

I love the street where the hostel is at, near all the attractions, and the fact that it's pedestrian - no cars! It makes it very clean and quiet. We hear from the guests a lot that they like it, too.
Generally, our guests are chilled students and people already in the job market; it's what we're best prepared for. But we appreciate variety; we encourage families with children or babies, and 40+, too.
We alternate between wine tasting, meals, and food tasting in the hostel...There's also an organ, guitar, and a beautiful movie room for those who want to relax. It's not a 'crazy' party hostel at all - our fun comes from a healthy atmosphere of interaction, laughter, and excellent conversations that occur naturally because all the details of a good hostel are coming together.
I usually send our guests to the old area of the Alfama neighbourhood. It's got our 'secret' church; it's amazingly beautiful and particular. Travellers are tired of churches sometimes and don't go into all of them, but the one we recommend amazes them.
