Hostelworld says

Goodnight Hostel is set in a building which Hostelworld guests say 'feels like a big shared house' and is 'surrounded by restaurants'. Our users praise the 'excellent' staff more than anything else, saying they are 'always willing to help'; one visitor said 'everyone was really nice and very helpful with giving advice on how to get to places, where to go and what to do'. Guests have also highly recommended the free walking tour. We like that this hostel not only makes 'delicious, homemade' pancakes for breakfast but that they're also served until noon.

Property Description

Decorated with a retro touch, our nice staff will welcome you with a smile and give you a lot of nice tips regarding our city. Every evening we offer Sangria to our guests, a good way to meet people and to start your evening.

We have different type of rooms with comfortable beds (attention: our twin rooms have bunk beds), nice design bathrooms, two common rooms, a nice kitchen with cooking equipment, free Internet and Wi-Fi. (Please note that we have 3 dorms of 3 persons. If you want to ensure to be in the same '3 dorm' of your friend, please contact the hostel previously. The system doesn't necessary allocate the guests in the same room. We also want to insist on the fact that we have no elevator.

Our facilities also include free lockers, free bed linen and … we make great pancakes for breakfast :)

Wonderfully clean. A great hostel for solo travelers as it's so friendly. Good female dorm. Fun atmosphere with very pleasant lounge. Excellent mix of ages and people from all over including other Portuguese, which I think is a sign of quality. It's not a "party" hostel; parties are going on all over town anyway. Staff are ALL lovely. Location could not be better. Great coffee.

Myself and two friends stayed in the all female dorm on the top floor, the hostel was amazing! We had such a great time. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even making the effort to speak in English when in communal areas so that you had the chance to get involved in conversations. Location was perfect, felt very safe and secure. Hostel was spotless and clean. Would recommend this place to stay to all my friends who haven’t yet visited Lisbon. Thank you for such a wonderful time!!

great hostel! staff was lovely and helpful, rooms were clean, perfect location right in the city centre so close to everything, free breakfast was lovely and super easy to make friends with the organised events eg walking tours, free sangria, pub crawl. only downside was the stairs but it was a small price to pay for staying at such a great hostel!!

A great little hostel with friendly staff, funky interior design, and perfect central location. It’s not the busiest hostel in Lisbon, but if you’re looking for more of an intimate social vibe, then this is a pretty good choice.

Perfectly located near train, restaurants, and castle. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Helpful staff, free decent simple breakfast, secure room. I’ve been to a lot of hostels. This is a great one that I would visit again. Only complaint is that at night there’s a little noise cuz u are in a popular location. It’s way worth it. Thanks to the staff that helped us with some things they didn’t have to help us with. My fiancé wants to give a shout out to the receptionist with the big cool hair!

Nice hostel in great location. Beds are staggered with feet section having a lower height so if you are near 6 ft you end up cracking your knees every time you turn over. Breakfast was ok, place was generally clean but things like loo roll sometimes ran out and bins left full (mainly overnight). Staff friendly but little local knowledge. Overall good stay but have stayed in better.

    Very Good

This hostel had potential, but it was not an enjoyable experience especially as a solo traveler. The staff is very kind but do not make an effort to interact with guests to create a social atmosphere. There was not even a pub crawl that was promised. My room was on the top floor in almost an attic-like room, and the ceiling was so low that i had to bend down and couldn't stand up straight in it. Free breakfast was small, not worth money. Not my favorite as a solo traveler. Will not stay again

Goodnight Lisbon Hostel says

I love the street where the hostel is at, near all the attractions, and the fact that it's pedestrian - no cars! It makes it very clean and quiet. We hear from the guests a lot that they like it, too.
Generally, our guests are chilled students and people already in the job market; it's what we're best prepared for. But we appreciate variety; we encourage families with children or babies, and 40+, too.
We alternate between wine tasting, meals, and food tasting in the hostel...There's also an organ, guitar, and a beautiful movie room for those who want to relax. It's not a 'crazy' party hostel at all - our fun comes from a healthy atmosphere of interaction, laughter, and excellent conversations that occur naturally because all the details of a good hostel are coming together.
I usually send our guests to the old area of the Alfama neighbourhood. It's got our 'secret' church; it's amazingly beautiful and particular. Travellers are tired of churches sometimes and don't go into all of them, but the one we recommend amazes them.
