At Granada Inn Backpackers, an evening of al-fresco drinks on the city's buzzing Carrera del Darro is just a stroll away. To help you get under the skin of Granada, we'll take you on a free city tour, before throwing a sangria party where you can meet your fellow travellers. We host all our events, including paella parties, on our traditional tiled patio – the heart of the hostel and the best place to pick up travel tips. We also serve a free breakfast here (it's the most important meal of the day!) or pour yourself another coffee and catch up with messages from home with the free Wi-Fi. When you're getting organised, we can help with tours and activities at reception.

The Alhambra is a 20-minute walk up Cuesta de Gomérez; from there, continue north for another 25 minutes to reach the steep, whitewashed streets of Albaicín, Granada's ancient Moorish quarter. If all that walking makes you hungry, stroll back down the hill for an evening of tasting tapas in our neighbourhood bars. We're a 25-minute walk or a short bus ride from the main train station – hop on at the Acera del Darro stop. The bus to Granada Airport also leaves from this stop.

Rooms and Dorms

We have mixed and female-only dorms, which come with en-suite bathrooms, air con and free bed linen, plus a locker to store your backpack. Travelling with friends? You might prefer to book a group room or apartment, which also have their own kitchenettes.

Extras and activities

In our common room, you'll find a vending machine for a sugar fix – and a public computer, great for video chats or simply looking up Granada's best tapas bars! We also have rental bikes available – just come and speak to us at the 24-hour reception, where we can also get you sorted with free city maps, laundry facilities and luggage storage.

I would recommend this place to lots of people. It is close to the center but on a quiet street. The employees talked to you about all kinds of activities in the city depending on what you like to do. I didn't go to the sangria event but I heard people saying really nice things about it. The rooms were cool (temperature wise) and have lockers that will take your backpack. I enjoyed it so much that I extended my trip. I also appreciated the huge kitchen. Two refrigerators and 2 different stoves.

We stayed as a group of 6 at Granada inn and could’nt fault it! From the beginning the staff were super helpful , making sure we were all in the same room , helping us with directions , printing tickets up for us and so on ! The rooms were very clean including our bathroom and shower. The location was super close to the main streets and had supermarkets very close by which was handy. Would definitely stay again if we return to Granada , thank you 😊

Great place in Granada, central to all the spots you’ll likely be exploring during your visit. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bigger dorm rooms are separated into two rooms which was a welcome surprise. Great value for your stay

Kitchen and living areas were great for meeting people and very clean! Price is fantastic. Great value for money. But bring a combination lock in advance or you will have to pay for one. Online payment system was slightly confusing.

This hostel provides great service. But they are strict to their rules very much. If your checkin is at 14:00, they wont allow you even a minute before. So arrange your arrival time accordingly. In case you are about to reach at night, book for that day and let them know by email before you arrive. If you are late due to delay of your flight or whatever they wont listen. So follow every rules carefully. Otherwise they are at great service. Few staff are really annyoing, otherwise mostly are nice

The place is beautiful, but there wasn't really any atmosphere until the volunteer, Alice, got there, she really made my visit way better!

The location of the hostel is very good, in the centre of city just a few minutes walking from the bus station and the road to the Al Hambra. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was super.

Quite good. Such a shame the middle open atrium bit is wasted though. It's such a beautiful aspect of the hostel, but you can't smoke or be making any noise after a certain time (which both of these make sense) but then without utilising that space for actually just sitting and talking and chilling and eating, the hostel as a whole then becomes a bit average, nothing special about this hostel.
