Fantastic stay! Everything was clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly. You couldn’t have a better location, right outside of Pike’s place! Complimentary breakfast was a great plus. Would 150% stay again.

Great hostel in a good location. The staff were very kind and accommodating and the rooms are toasty (to be expected during a Seattle summer) but clean. The showers and breakfast are a plus! I will stay here again for sure.

Loved my stay here at the Green Tortoise, the location literally can not be beaten. I stayed in many hostels in Europe, and this is pretty comparable to an older hostel in most European countries. Facilities and rooms are pretty dated and you can tell the building is older but that is part of the charm! I would recommend that they fix the plug sockets though because they were so loose that my charger block kept slipping. The bathrooms were honestly pretty clean for a hostel. Great deal for the $

You really really can’t beat the location. The common areas were great, and the people were super cool. The bathrooms kind of smelled weird, and the rooms were very small for the amount of beds in them. Those are my only 2 complaints. Overall, would recommend! I had a great time!

Great location. Chill staff, not the most diligent but they will help if you ask. The smoking lounge is a huge plus if you're into that. Fairly secure, building locks at night, then there are two locked doors to get to your bedroom, so the only concern is how much you trust your roommates. Building is kinda old and run down, but no complaints really. It does what it does well at a low price point.

    Very Good

    14 Jul 2021
Pros: Located right outside Pike Place Market. Free breakfast. Privacy curtains for beds. Single occupancy bathrooms. Free luggage storage. Cons: Bathrooms were never disgusting but never seemed that clean either. Soap for washing hands was overly diluted at times to the point where it was just water. My leftovers went missing though I clearly labeled them. Tip: No bin to store things like glasses or phones if you are assigned a top bunk, so bring a small bag.
