Great hostel in the heart of Seattle Pike Market I have stayed in here before 4 years ago. Hostel still very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The bonus is they offer oJ and coffee for breakfast, as well English muffin and toasts. Def reconvened.

Location was as central as it could possibly be. Loved that there were a bunch of private bathrooms... there was literally always at least two open the entire time I stayed there. The guy who checked me in, was SUPER great... he gave me things to do in the city, and we ended up just having a great hour long conversation about life... great start to the trip :). Even with a pandemic, still a welcoming social atmosphere (especially when drinking started). Recommended on all fronts!

Very happy with my first stay at the Green Tortoise Hostel. The location felt central, I was able to walk to multiple parts of Seattle that had been recommended to me like the Olympic Sculpture park and Capital Hill. Even during covid the multiple employees made the atmosphere fun and social - what most people hope for in a hostel stay. Parking is a challenge and an expense for sure, and if you have a strong aversion to homeless people outside you may feel uncomfortable, but it's well worth it!

Overall the place felt as though quantity was prioritized over quality. My floor had only two working bathrooms (each with a single toilet and a single shower) for several multi-bed rooms. The kitchen had very limited counter space and pantry storage. At least one bathroom ran out of toilet paper each day and the bathrooms were often smelly or dirty. There were two additional bathrooms on the floor that were out of order, but during normal capacity that wouldn't have really helped much.
