Property Description

Exploring is definitely recommended in Palawan and Green Turtle is a great place to start. Located at San Jose New Market, Puerto Princesa - best for culture; experience the informality and understand real local living. Just right across the market is the San Jose Terminal - ideal for transport; a major terminal hub to take you to northern and southern towns of Palawan.

- Puerto Princesa airport is just one jeepney / multicab ride for 25 minutes (PHP 10 per person) or tricycle hire (PHP 70 - 150 good for 4 persons).
- Bus, jeepney and shuttle vans, 3 minutes walk (to El Nido – PHP 385 ordinary bus, PHP 500 van).
- Eateries, street foods, fruit stalls, bakeshop and grocery, 4 minutes walk.
- Ka Inato Restaurant - Main Branch, 8 minutes walk.
- Land Bank of the Philippines cash machine, 5 minutes walk.
- Robinsons Mall Palawan, 6 minutes jeepney ride (PHP 10).
- Rizal Avenue, one jeepney / multicab ride for 45 minutes (PHP 14).
- Palawan Sports Complex and City Hall are 15-20 minutes jog or 5 minutes tricycle ride.

Green Turtle is a basic 24+ bed hostel. Our dorm rooms are upstairs, airconditioned, with French doors and interconnected balcony. We have comfortable beds, fresh linen, and bed curtain for added privacy. We have secured big lockers, clean toilets and 2 shower areas in each dorm room.

We are not a party hostel but we encourage everyone to be social. We have an eatery downstairs which is open until late where guests and locals can all eat together. Very affordable meal (less than 1 USD) including barbeque and cold beers are on offer.

We assist our guests with sightseeing tours. We help to secure one of the lowest prices for Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park - a UNESCO world heritage site. We treat our guests like family and guide them to their next island destination.

Green Turtle is a favourite airport stopover for backpackers and solo travellers in Puerto Princesa. We are certainly a budget-friendly and a time-saving choice.

This was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The staff was really friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds have a privacy curtain and the lockers are really nice too. After walking for a couple of minutes you can find a highway where they have a big supermarket and lots of restaurants. From there you can take a jeepney to the airport or to the city center. Make sure to combine your stay with visiting the underground river. The staff can book this for you!

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities. Good security with a key to the room and a locker for valuables. Beds are comfortable and private. Location is a little outside town, but very near the major bus station. Tours to the underground river will pick you up from here.

Had a great stay here. Very clean and felt very secure. Privacy curtain is always a bonus. Air con is amazing and WiFi is the best I've had in the Philippines. Its a little out of town but a tricycle is cheap enough and its very close to the bus station if you're heading north from here. Staff were amazing and generally very helpful. Would stay again.

Stopped here for one night before our flight. It was super cute and clean, AC was amazing although turned off during the night because it got too cold but there is a remote so I easily put it back on. Not much of an atmosphere, however, got lucky and had great roommates! Overall I would suggest it if you're staying a night or two and want a nice private hostel. Staff was adorable!

It was a 5 minute walk from the bus terminal. Perfect for a stopover from El Nido going to Puerto Princesa airport. AC works perfectly. Bed and room were clean but hoping there was heated showers.

It's fine for what you're paying for and perfect if you just need a one night stop either side of a flight. Don't expect any frills.

I just stayed one night, arrived very late (around midnight) and left early to catch my flight. I contacted the hostel before checking in because I knew I would be late. They had a woman welcoming me and leading me to my room. It's an OK place to stay overnight and just sleep, close to the bus terminal.
