Property Description

Exploring is definitely recommended in Palawan and Green Turtle is a great place to start. Just right across the market is the San Jose Terminal - ideal for transport; a major terminal hub to take you to northern and southern towns of Palawan.

- Puerto Princesa airport is just one jeepney / multicab ride for 25 minutes (PHP 10 per person) or tricycle hire (PHP 70 - 150 good for 4 persons).
- Bus, jeepney and shuttle vans, 3 minutes walk (to El Nido – PHP 385 ordinary bus, PHP 500 van).
- Eateries, street foods, fruit stalls, bakeshop and grocery, 4 minutes walk.
- Ka Inato Restaurant - Main Branch, 8 minutes walk.
- Land Bank of the Philippines cash machine, 5 minutes walk.
- Robinsons Mall Palawan, 6 minutes jeepney ride (PHP 10).
- Rizal Avenue, one jeepney / multicab ride for 45 minutes (PHP 14).

Green Turtle is a basic 24+ bed hostel. Our dorm rooms are upstairs, airconditioned, with French doors and interconnected balcony. We have comfortable beds, fresh linen, and bed curtain for added privacy. We have secured big lockers, clean toilets and 2 shower areas in each dorm room.

We are not a party hostel but we encourage everyone to be social. We have an eatery downstairs which is open until late where guests and locals can all eat together. Very affordable meal (less than 1 USD) including barbeque and cold beers are on offer.

We assist our guests with sightseeing tours. We help to secure one of the lowest prices for Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park - a UNESCO world heritage site. We treat our guests like family and guide them to their next island destination.

Green Turtle is a favourite airport stopover for backpackers and solo travellers in Puerto Princesa. We are certainly a budget-friendly and a time-saving choice.

We stayed here for 1 night before getting the van to port barton, they arranged for the van to pick us up and were really helpful with recommending places to eat. They have the best wifi in most of the Philippines and the beds are so comfy with great pillows and blankets!

Get out of Puerto Princesa as soon as you can, fly there in the evening and go to the underground river or your final destination the next day. This hostel is a great place to stay for that night. Exceptionally clean, nice staff and a good mattress. It's quiet which is all you want in this place and transport from the airport on a tricycle cost me just 150 pesos

Very nice hostel, a little bit far out but still near food options and very close to the bus terminal for onward travel.

Decent hostel with good beds and very friendly staff. Unfortunately there was nobody else at the hostel so there was no atmosphere.

There was literally no atmosphere here and as a solo traveller it isn’t recommended unless it’s just for one night and if you don’t want to meet anyone. I saw 2 other people staying here during my visit. Bathrooms are average however beds are comfortable and a curtain is provided. Main issue was location I felt unsafe walking around the area on my own as a female solo traveller even to the supermarket at the end of the street. Overall an alright stay for a layover.

The dorm room was basic, but clean and had air con. The bathroom was tiny, with no hot water. There was nobody staying at the hostel so no atmosphere and there was nothing nearby, except the bus terminal which was handy. I asked where we could get food in the morning and the staff member told me the shops nearby would open at 10. I then found out we could pay for breakfast at the hostel, so she could have offered this option to us, instead we had to wait 4 hours for food after the bus.
