We love socialising at Greg & Tom Hostel, whether it's over a free home-cooked dinner or on our nightly pub crawls. Swing by breakfast – also free – before heading into the city. If you like something a little different, sign up for a kayak trip or Commie Milk Bar experience. Have a chat with one of our multilingual team members for the lowdown on all the events we organise. We've also got guidebooks and free city maps in the common room if you want more inspiration.

We're 200 metres from Kraków Główny, the main train station. You'll find the bus terminal there too, and if you walk from the hostel through the nearby shopping centre, you'll reach both in just a few minutes. Our neighbourhood is really handy for sightseeing – Rynek Główny, the famous market square, as well as the Cloth Hall are just a 10-minute walk through the Old Town. To experience the city like a local, we recommend strolling for 20 minutes to the former Jewish Quarter for great coffee and some of Kraków's art scene.

Rooms and Dorms

You won't find a single bunk at our award-winning hostel: all the dorms and double rooms have single beds! We've also included night lights and free bed linen both for ambiance and to save you packing space. You'll find storage lockers in the dorms (which we're happy to give you padlocks for), and in the private double room you'll get a safe.

Extras and activities

Eating is definitely a social activity here, and our three fully equipped kitchens are great for meeting new people. After dinner, move your conversations to the common room where free tea and coffee is always available. You'll usually find us here, ready to host some games or take you across to our sister hostel for one of their crazy parties. For a more chilled evening, choose a film from our collection of over 300 DVDs or connect to free Wi-Fi to catch up on some Netflix.

Meals are included and were high quality with plenty of food. They did a great job getting everyone to mix and talk with one another. Of the hostels I have stayed in this is definitely the best value and probably the best overall

I had a great stay at Greg and Tom hostel. It has a great friendly family vibe, perfect for a solo traveller. The free dinners and breakfasts everyday were a highlight (and free shots). Also the recommendations from the staff for bars and pierogi restaurants nearby. It's in a great Locatio right across from the bus and train station, and a short walk into old town. Thanks for a great trip!

Never seen any place like this. I been traveling for long time (almost a year now) and so far it’s the BEST hostel I have come across. I went there through a friend’s recommendation with huge expectations but, they could please me much more than I thought. Barbara, Patrick, kasha, Julia....made my time there. Felt better then at home. Food, drinks and nice people all the time. I was amazed by it. Highly recommended ;-)

We picked Greg & Tom for the good location between main station and centre. We could leave our luggage in the reception area where was not in lockers but guarded by the receptionist. After a 9h night bus ride, we where grateful to have the opportunity to take a shower and have some breakfast, although we could only check in two hours later. The staff was super friendly and courteous, dinner and breakfast exceeded the expectations positively and we'd sure come back to Greg & Tom's.

Felt lucky to have had this be my first hostel experience. Great balance between social and relaxed – there are pub crawls and people are always hanging in the common room, but no one will bother you if you want to stay in. The free breakfast and dinner was delicious and a major highlight. The staff are very helpful and the location is right next to the train station and just a 10 minute walk from the Old Town. Would recommend!

Greg & Tom home hostel was the best! Great mix of people and awesome staff. You could party every night if that’s what you were after but could also chill if that was your vibe. Breakfast was free and amazing. What was even better was the incredible free dinners every night and drinks! Could not recommend this hostel more - thanks so much!

definitely a hostel for socializing. The facilities are s***, the hostel is pretty old and grimy. It was clean and I liked the location near the train station, but the place is so dilapidated and grungy that I would never stay here again.

Greg & Tom Hostel says

I think what puts us ahead of the rest is that in everything we do, we put our hearts into makes us perfect as friends and professionals all at once. For instance, we offer two completely free meals every day - breakfast AND dinner! We can even pack your lunch before you head out for the day.
We're in a great location, close to the bus and train stations, for guests' convenience. We're also near a shopping mall, a 24hr exchange office, 24hr liquor store and the Old Town. The only local place that I recommend that guests visit is of course Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camps. Guests can actually book tours right at our reception.
I'd say our hostel is ideal for young people willing to have fun, meet new people and socialise. Most of our guests tend to be in their 20s and 30s. Aga, Manager
