Property Description

Every year many tourists from all over the world as well as from Japan come to visit Hiroshima.
Guesthouse Hiroshima Mange Tak, a place where tourists and locals alike can meet up, talk and engage in friendship without hesitation or constraint.
Such a place is what we strive to become with our hostel and Cafe Bar.

The name of our guesthouse is 'Mange Tak'.
A name, that might rarely reach your ear because it is the Danish word for 'Thank you'.
But why 'Thank you'.
Because we want to thank the people from all over the world who come here to Hiroshima.
So, why Danish.
Since our company was founded we had strong connections to Northern Europe,
especially Denmark with which we still maintain close relationships.
For that the interior design of 'Mange Tak' was supervised and executed by
Sora Design, a design company for Northern European style. View House Rules

There are so many great things about Mange Tak! Location, atmosphere, cleanliness, safety. Good for solo travelers to meet people. 7-11 around the corner. Super close to tram stop and A-park. Loved my stay!

Good stay, although I only had the opportunity to stay for a day. It is not of walking distance from the station, however, the place is easily accessible via the tram for ¥180.

Amazing hostel! So good I stayed here 3 nights. More expensive than most japan hostels but I found Hiroshima to be more expensive anyway. Great location, a quick walk away from the Peace garden. Staff were lovely and everything was clean. Only downside would be the lockers, which you could barely fit a phone in and the ‘mattress’ was just a mat, also there was 0 atmosphere but that is the same for most Japanese hostels. Other than that, I loved it, highly recommend!

I had a great time at the hostel. It's in a great location; easy access to the tram and walking distance to Peace Park and the museum. Only issue I had was that we were not given the remote to the AC, so the room had no AC till I went and asked for it. OH, they only take cash just a heads up.

Everything was perfect, except the comfort of the beds. The pillow was essentially a bean bag and had no support leaving you waking up feeling like you had whiplash. Also, the dryers took a few goes to actually dry your clothes.

Nice hostel, good sleeping space and showers were good. But no social area in the property at all as the kitchen/laundry are all located just outside dorms. It was a slight shake as we wanted to interact with other travellers but this was not possible. This would not be a problem if you are part of a large group but if you’re travelling alone and want to socialise it may be difficult. Hostel is well situated for sights but not station, get the free JR bus to peace park and walk for 10mins.

Didn't take card as payment method, so I had to go and withdraw a huge amount of money in cash. When I arrived I explained I didn't have cash on me, and that I would have to do a transfer to my other account which would take time. They didn't trust me, and made me leave my passport as a guarantee even though my things were there and I had no intentions of not paying. Elevator is closed after 10 PM, which is a bit to early, so If you are assigned to the 5th floor you will have to walk up.

    Very Good

I chose this hostel as some reviews said it was social. Both of my nights there i hung out at the bar and the staff member working there was lovely, however there was noone else really hanging around as the locals were watching movies. Otherwise clean and comfortable and walking distance from peace museum etc, just missing the atmosphere i was after
