Never expected living in a small town with old history. The owner is so nice, he keep showing the best food to eat and the way to visit. This is a very old house, so even just walking though the corridor, noisy sound came out, but a traditional japanese house, good to experience it. If you have time to visit this place, I recommand you to rent a kimono, it will be a great experience!

Great place and area, friendly host who speaks good english as well. The area around this place is a breath of fresh air compared to the crowded Nagoya station, and there’s also a beautiful park nearby (~15 -20 min walk). The nature of these houses is that every sound others make can be picked up, so if you’re unlucky enough to have inconsiderate lodgers, make sure you have earplugs. My only qualm is that the toilet is outdoors which is less than ideal in spring-summer with all the insects.

Stay here if you want an authentic, cultural experience. I was the only native English speaker here and got to meet some cool native Japanese people that were also staying here. Be aware that you are sleeping right next to another person and that the location is cool, in that it’s an antique house, but it’s quite far from Nagoya center. Overall, a very unique experience that I’m glad I had.

Very quiet and set away but made me practice my Japanese. Traditional house very nice and staff are lovely. Had a great conversation about my film camera and development with one of the staff.

Very creepy hostel and owners, first bad hostel experience, worst part is, apparently the guesthouse turns into a cafe in the early afternoon so they move your stuff without you knowing, put tables for people to eat where your bed was, and your not allowed to stay in the guesthouse without ordering from their cafe?? Terrible shower, very small, located in the yard, very uncomfortable beds, no curtains or anything between the beds, and many more stuff, wouldn't recommend to anyone.
