Marino and her family are so sweet and helpful. Everything is so clean and tidy and it's a lovely space to be in. You're right on the lake so you are minutes away from either walking around the lake or some treks and hikes.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Guesthouse Murabito! We could see Mt Fuji from our room's window and a marked hiking trail goes right near the house. Bus stop just some meters away from the house so getting there with the Highway Bus from Shinjuku or Kawaguchiko is convenient. The room was quite cold during the night (which is expected from single-pane windows), but they provided warm blankets. The downstairs kitchen and lounge was very clean and cozy.

If u are coming from tokyo, this place is a bit far. I arrived late, and it was kinda pitch dark. Thanks to my google map, i managed to find the hostel. - it is not far -(maybe 100m) but cause it is dark, it is hard to see which direction i shud take. All in all, the hostel itself is charming. The owner has put much thought on the interior. It feels like home and cozy. The view of mt fuji from this place is breathtaking. Awesome owner and great hostel. Psst they have bathtub!! :p

The most quaint guesthouse and town there could ever be in Mt. Fuji. Placed in an area without tourists and the best quiet view of this beautiful mountain. The owners were been incredibly friendly and helpful with any need.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we checked out they helped us with our bags and called the bus company for us, even writing a note in Japanese for the bus driver since we had not booked a seat and through this we were able to get a seat. Thank you!

Very nice and helpful hosts. They assisted me I'm booking a bus back to Tokyo the day I left. The only issue with the property was the heater. In the winter the heater turns off every three hours with a very loud alarm. Not conducive to sleeping or relaxing. You have to get up and restart the heater every time. Did not sleep very well because of this.

Great bed, very spacious rooms. The only issue was the upstairs toilet has no sink - so if you are in a room downstairs you have to then go downstairs to wash your hands which I found strange. Helpful staff with lovely family atmosphere.
