Great hostel in the middle of downtown Baltimore! Naomi at the front desk was helpful and knowledgable about things to do around town. There was always the option to do things from the hostel and overall had a good, solid traveler energy. Not too party crazy and the room was quiet during sleep hours.

I heard that this property is closing soon. If it was still going I would encourage some upgrades to the shower and the 6 Room dorm. Kitchen facilities were awesome plenty of Room to relax. Complimentary earplugs a very nice touch. Close to everything downtown. HI didn't great job noting things to do downtown how to get to the facility. Security was perfect.

Not the most social hostel, but it was also Baltimore in September! The staff were very nice, and you could make pancakes for breakfast!

I absolutely loved it at Hi Baltimore! Initially, i didn't even know that it was a not for profit facility... And the staff was sooo helpful and respectful. My first trip to Baltimore MD but Hi made it feel like family... I'd highly recommend it to frequent and new travelers.. KenyaLAVENDA

    Very Good

I have been using YHA throughout my traveling in New Zealand, and USA. I would say this one is worst compared to other YHAs. Dirty blanket with other person’s hair on it, uncomfortable mattress, shaking bed frame (when the other person gets to the upper bed, the whole bed frame, two beds, will make a lot of noise...). But the price is there, cannot complain. If you just want a place to survive one night and are on a budget, this YHA Baltimore is for you.

I checked in very late and left early in the morning. Front desk was nice. The door had security system that you had to be buzzed in or use your key. I parked in the very busy street. The hostel did offer parking for $10 a day but I would be checking out before street parking meters activated. The place was cool. My room everyone was asleep and the lights were dark. The restroom I used was clean. No complaints. I am military visiting my hometown and family. After family offered me a bed I left.
