Amazing hostel with beautiful views over Bergen. A little out of the city, it is walkable up a rather steep hill (public transport is also an option though!) but the views make that totally worth it. The hostel is also ideally situated for hikes over the mountains and up to Ulriken, which was exactly what we were looking for. Staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were great and the hostel was wonderfully clean. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

I had so much fun staying in this hostel. It's far from the city center but this was actually a good thing in my opinion because there are hiking trails just minutes from the hostel and the view from above the city is stunning. I loved that there were social activities planned every day. I met other travelers at the daily coffee and cookies break, on organized group hikes, and in the lounge for game nights, etc. The dorms were comfortable and clean, and the kitchen and common areas were spacious

For family of 3 I paid for 4 people so I could get entire room to ourselves. Still I feel it was a value. Decent breakfast, very clean. Used kitchen to prepare our own dinner which saved money. Hostel located at base of Ulriken, which was an activity we planned for on one of our 3 days in Bergen. Small market a few steps from the hostel. Wifi. Foosball table. Gender specific shower stalls and bathrooms. Sink in each room.

Amazing hostel, just make sure to check the bus schedules to go downtown because they don’t come so often!

best location and atmosphere’s situated on a mountain with an on property view behind hostel that looks at the entire city, surrounding mountains, and the sun/sea/horizon...absolute gorgeous views that you would climb a mountain for. in addition, volunteer staff (susan / marta) were amazing and led super cool hikes/excursions - they made my time special and were super fun and friendly! a little hard to get to but well worth it...just take 12 bus to montana...highly recommend!

This would be a great hostel to stay at with a family. Was a bit far away from downtown. If traveling alone and looking to meet people would suggest something a little closer to the city center.

    Very Good

Overall enjoyed stay. Lots of families in general and single older (55+ people) in our room, which was fine. I wish I had booked an all female room, as male hygiene wasn’t the best in our room due to all the hikers passing through. The bus was really convenient, easy to figure out, and a nice ride up and down the mountain.

This hostel had no atmosphere, the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. It was expensive and very far away from the city centre. Need to improve their directions from airport/city centre and hire some staff that are enthusiastic about giving advice and tips for exploring Bergen. Would not come back.
