We really loved the cozy fireplace and the perfect location! Thanks to Jamie, we had the perfect route to beat the crowd and admire the beautiful trails and lakes at our own pace. It was really warm at our beds too! Thank you & we will definitely come back!

This place was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Every room was extremely clean and organized. The manager, Tony, was....interesting, but super, super nice. The location is great - a short drive from both Banff and Lake Louise.

The location was great for people who want to be around the Johnston Canyon but if you want to be in Banff, I would not really suggest it. I only gave this hostel a 4* rating for security simply because they never lock the doors. Staying in that area is extremely unlikely to have robberies but I would have simply prefer some locking situation. People who stay there are very nice & have a smile on their face. It was worth the money, it was pretty clean also.

A small but lovely hostel that really makes you feel stranded in the wilderness - Johnston Canyon is right around the corner. Make sure you bring food and your own car! There's no WiFi, but the rest of the common area makes up for it. The dorms can get quite cold in winter, especially if you're sleeping on one of the lower bunk beds. The greeting was very friendly!

Great little spot. Sauna was wonderful after the long day of hiking but no showers, so the river was the best option.
