Wonderful location, with an excellent staff. The building is a older building with a great relaxing atmosphere inside and outside. The mansion resides in a large park and even with the freeway close by, you can't hear the traffic noises. Beds were very comfy. I recommend to anyone. I will stay here everytime I come tonphilly

Really nice location with an amazing 1st floor with 3 humongous rooms and 15 or 20 foot ceilings. Totally comfortable with a calm relaxed tranquil energy. I loved it. There is an old ash that was planted circa 1803. It is amazing to see the pictures of the old house when it was built with that huge tree not even there. Wish I had more than 1 night. I enjoyed talking to an old Irish'man who was a pleasure and a riot. Captain Mike 518-EXTREME Saratoga Lake, NY

This was our first experience staying at a hostel and it worked well for our family.! We enjoyed the kitchen facility , homey atmosphere and the low cost. We think we are sold on the hostel option for lodging. It made our trip to attend our daughter’s boot camp graduation affordable. Katherine Hutto

Perfect spot for the Mann Music Center concert goers! Close, clean, and a great price! Why drive home late at night, why stay in a hotel? Loved it.

Stayed here for a night, because I was in Philly to see a concert at The Dell Music Center. It's not 'too' accessible by public transport - it involves a ~30 minute walk (pleasant walk through the park). The property is nice and isolated from urban noises, and is a beautiful mansion with lots of green cover all around. There are 2 buildings- one with a curfew, and one without. The dorms, beds, and bathrooms are clean and comfortable and the hostess was kind and hospitable. Would stay here again.

Good spot great people. I didn’t realize that guests weren’t allowed on premises from 11 am - 4 pm. Because I usually travel to Phila for work, this could be a deal breaker. Days when I don’t have meetings I Like to sit around and do work.

If you want a layed back stay in Philly, this is a good place to consider. It's far from the city center, but still accessible by bus. Usually about an hour depending on where in the city you are. Hostel is closed between 11h-16h30. So you have to leave early every day. That bothered me. Rooms and and facilities are well equipped and clean. There are, however, little critters, which is to expect When in a park. Spiders outside. Inside: millepede and a mouse. AC in rooms was a bit too high

Cool place and the staff are very kind. The fact that you need to leave during the day is a pain. The distance from the city or even the bus stop is also a pain. If you have a car, then you're set and the location in a park is truly beautiful.
