Great facilities, plenty of cookware in the kitchen. Central location and 5 mins to the bus stop. Friendly helpful staff. Free local phone to use if you need.

The staff were accommodating, friendly, and respectful with the hostel being right next to the waterfront for travelers. Authentic pubs such as Henry's House Pub and Bearly's are within a few meters where one could experience some of the best live blues on the east coast along with the Celtic influence through Nova Scotia. The hostel is also situated downtown near the Argyle strip for a vibrant nightlife with the convention centre nearby for any business agendas. I had a great visit!

Good place, good location. I was there during low season so it was hard to say what the atmosphere is like, but the facilities were well set-up for a good time. Only downsides are the beds are not very comfortable.

This hostel is a great little place to stay and close to many Halifax attractions. The staff is super friendly and the facilities are clean. The kitchen is big and easy to use with plenty of food storage for guests. I would definitely stay here again!

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a clean place to stay at a great price. The internet was fast and they had washing machines, the only thing that would make it better would be breakfast included!

I will definitely come back and recommend the place. However, I was leaving really early in the mornings and because the kitchen was locked from midnight to 7:30 am, I couldn't eat breakfast or even get my food from the fridge... Warning to early risers: This is not a 24h Hostel.

My stay at the hostel was good. It’s a heritage building turned into a hostel it says that in the description so I knew what to expect. It was run by a great staff who were super helpful and the other people staying there were great. Good kitchen. Dorm rooms were a little cramped. But had lockers to lock valuable. Was clean but not sparkling. Would stay again.

    Very Good

I stayed here a couple of nights in March and it was super quiet as it was off-season. The staff were friendly and there’s a big kitchen, if you don’t mind the mice! It’s a super convenient location though, right near the train station and only a short walk from the main attractions, and they’re happy to keep bags for you after check out ☺️

When I signed up for a co-ed dorm, I wasn’t expecting to be the only female in a room of six. My roommates made comments about “bitches” and “pussy” and indicated that they had expected the dorm to be all male. I found it extremely uncomfortable. Also, some of my food was stolen out of the refrigerator.
