I LOVED staying at HI Lake Louise ! We stayed there for 2 nights with my partner and we were really pleasantly surprised. We had the private room with shared bathroom, but you still get a toilet and sink in your own room which is great. The shared showers were SUPER clean and there were many of them at every floor so that was all good ! We traveled a lot in hostels before but never in Canada, and that was a very pleasant surprise ! And their restaurant was GREAT!

I needed a place to sleep and this worked out. It seemed a little more commercial than I'm used to in a hostel. But for sleeping. It was fine. There are two bunk beds in the 4 dorm rooms. Private bathroom. Showers outside the rooms. It was fine. There is a train track right beside which gets really loud.

Had a pleasant stay at Hi Lake Louise for 4 nights. It's in a really good location and is very close to Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Yoho National Park, and also has a plaza nearby with food, groceries, and hiking rentals. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part but we also did have one negative interaction with a staff member that tainted our experience. The restaurant in this Hostel has great food but can be a little pricey. Overall, it's worth the money.

This hostel has a cozy cabin-like atmosphere. Peyto’s Cafe food was wonderful and their kitchens were well tidy. However there were some questionable experiences. When I arrived to the hostel with my friend, her blanket wasn’t clean and there were white stains on them. One staff was rude. To be specific, she threw her hands up in the air, got out of her chair and yelled “FINE” for no valid reason. But I like how it’s close to the lakes and a bunch of hiking trails!

The place is clean but the staff where not friendly. Usually the staff will take you through a bit of tour of where the kitchen or common area is but no one did that for us. We never really understood where the kitchen was and never knew if there was a common area. Also the hostel itself has a restaurant whose staff is a bit rude. They know there is not alot of places to 'eat' around the hostel so they kind of use that as an advantage point and bully around the customers who came in - not a fan
