The Hostel is very nice and cozy. It is a little bit outside the city, which was a plus for us, and located in a very beautiful area. Still, very easy to reach the city centre in few minutes. The only downside is that for the bridge crossing you have to pay about 8$ each time and there is very few buses going to the city. Of course it's not hostels fault; it's just something to be aware of booking in this place. Everything was clean and the kitchen well equipped. Would totally recommend!

Cons were simple: The bunk beds were loud and uncomfortable. The only power outlets were in the common area. Pros? This old house truly feels like a step back in time. It's a peaceful place to spend foggy mornings (especially with complimentary coffee and tea) complete with access to relaxing windy roads to reach scenic views of GGB, Rodeo beach and evenings in Sausalito. Come ready to treat the beds as a humble place to crash and bring a book to read while your phone charges.

It's a little remote being across the golden gate, but there is tons of hiking and the rooms are comfortable. Easy drive to John Muir redwoods, and stellar views of the bridge just a short drive/hike away.

    Very Good

Like others have said the location is a bit out of the way but lovely however, keep in mind there's a toll to get into San Fran. Our biggest issue were the bedrooms and bathrooms. The rooms and beds were damp. The bathroom definitely needs an update - it's easy to see over the toilet stall walls, you have to use one hand to keep the taps on at all times, and the showers are cramped and essentially communal - separated by gross old shower curtains. However the kitchen and lounge/dining were nice.
