This was my first time staying in a hostel and I wasn't sure what to expect but HI Nantucket exceeded my expectations!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I can't thank them enough for making it such a great experience. Everyone we stayed with was very respectful. The house was always clean and it's location was magnificent, walking distance to the beach.

My advice would be to get there early if you don’t want to be on the top bunk. People tend to come make claim to a bed and then are off. There are lockers. Overall it was a very positive experience. Place is clean and staff are friendly. I appreciated the coffee and the breakfast food.

Really nice hostel! Friendly staff, clean, well set up (thanks for providing beach towels, chairs, and floaties!). One of the most communal hostels I've ever stayed at---mix of people who stay across ages, very friendly without being a "party hostel" at all. Two minutes to the beach. Can be a bit of a trek to town and public transportation is seasonal, but it's only 3 miles if you want to rent a bike, take a walk, or catch a taxi (~$15). Beds are like camping mattresses, so a bit uncomfy.

I think I've been coming here for about ten years and there is a solid return crowd. This stay ranks up with one of the better based on the respectfulness of the other women in the female dorm - they were quiet at night and in the mornings, quick in the limited bathroom space, tidy and aware of shared space. Crowd was mostly in their mid 50s+, some families, but all really observant of lights off and quiet time, which makes this an ideal space for R&R on Nantucket.

We had a good, but brief, stay here. The beds were very comfortable and everything was nice. The breakfast was subpar, but more than I can expect for the price.
