Just 50 miles from San Francisco, come explore neighboring Pescadero Marsh, Ano Nuevo State Reserve, Big Basin Redwoods State Park, and a string of state beaches. Great place right on the Pacific. Lot’s of locals getting away from San Francisco for a few days. Enjoyed our visit even though no electricity the 2nd day because of PSE&G power outages for fire prevention.

I had a blast. Excellent location near many beaches along highway 1 and the hostel property was beautiful in itself. I did not have phone service in this area so keep that in mind. Lighthouse was amazing. Really beautiful and fun place to stay. However I noticed the kitchen in the Dolphin dorm did not have dish soap. It only had hand soap, or all-purpose cleaner. So what do you wash the dishes with? Hand soap or all-purpose cleaner? Anyways I had a great time. Beautiful property. Thank you.

Stunning, historic costal location. Clean, well stocked kitchens with cozy living room spaces. Friendly staff. And the most amazing hot tub ever. Can’t wait to come back during whale season.

Overall it was a great way place to stay. We stayed in a private room within one of the buildings so it was a little more secure and private. The overall vibe was casual, guests and staff were friendly. The view was amazing from all areas of the property. The downside was the lighthouse is fenced off due to restoration. Highly recommend at least stopping by to see the views. It’s open to everyone during day light hours.

I was only there for a night with my girlfriend. Due to an overbook they reached us and asked to change our reservation which we did. Didn’t get anything in exchange of doing so. Plus the CO alarm went on at 4am due to a leaking gas stove. Outside of this, it was great!
