Clean, safe, located a 5 minute walk from the Max red line which takes you directly to PDX. Walking distance to NW 23rd shopping and to the Pearl. This hostel could not be in a better location! One of my favorite places to stay.

I am an experienced hostel traveler, and this is a good one! Everything important was as you'd want: clean kitchens, available bathrooms, quiet building (I really appreciated that the 'single' rooms were in a separate building from the dorms -- very good for people over age 25 like me who actually want to sleep!), friendly staff, and quality complimentary breakfast. My only complaint is that it was a little pricey -- I paid $75 for one night -- for such a small city like Portland.

This hostel is super cute and accessible to downtown. In terms of layout, facilities, and cleanliness, it is one of the best hostels I have been in. Downsides are the shower has low water pressure, and I didn't see much of a social atmosphere, but there are minor downsides compared to an overall very comfortable experience.
