This is the first time I’ve ever stayed at a wilderness hostel. I really like the concept. Disconnect for a few days. I had the best sleep. It was a very comfortable stay. The manager of the hostel Joe was very nice, very friendly and very helpful. He let me check in before 5pm and helped me with the heater. I would definitely stay here when I come back to Lake Louise- Jasper area.

We loved our time at Hi Rampet Hostel. Ken was very helpful and the faculty was very clean. The other guest where very relaxed and interesting. We shared an open air fire and enjoyed chatting to everyone ranging in age and culture. This is what travel is all about.

Alan was a great camp host. Well maintained facility especially given it was a wilderness hostel. Would stay again.

Can sit beside gorgeous glacier-water-fed Rampart creek, a cliff, a small meadow. A big woodpile ready for making a fire in the pit. Lots of seating indoors and out. The facilities are spotless and everything we need. The manager is great, friendly, helpful, and encouraging. Lucky guests who stop and stay here!

It's in a gorgeous setting, and they provide everything you need. The value is also awesome; my campsite cost the same per night.

I love Rampart Creek Hostel. I used to stay here often when ice climbing on the Parkway twenty years ago. Not much has changed. Rampart now has a large solar array for limited electricity, and it has limited wifi. Otherwise, it's basically the same rustic hostel it always was. I've only found one weak point at Rampart... The bunk-style beds in the dorms are short. I'm 5'9" and cannot stretch out on the mattress. The mattresses themselves are thin and not particularly comfortable.
