Stayed here a couple of times. The team is really great and especially the daily events and tours make it easy to connect to other travelers and most of them are for free or just charge the transportation cost and entrance. The voluteers for these tours are really nice and I did a couple of them. The breakfast is nice as well, it's just a bit anoying that they start cleaning even before 10am, so you feel a bit unwanted if you are still eating. Apart from that definetly the best hostel in town :)

The only comment I could say needs improving is how to use the key access. Fumbling around until we woke a room sleeper and he let us in. He then showed how to use the card access

It was the first time my adult daughter had stayed in a hostel and she was very impressed with the kitchen facilities. We both liked the opportunity to join into some group activities and discounted ventures like the bicycle rental. I was glad there was a locked garage even though it cost extra.

Clean and secure building in a great location at a reasonable price and in walking distance of pretty much everything plus they offer a free breakfast. They also offer tours and organise activities. Not my thing but some fellow travelers i spoke to said they were good. Checked all my boxes so recommend this for anyone visiting Vancouver.

Locks do not work well and lockers in rooms could use some upgrading. Good value for money and excellent location, it was easy to buy local produce. Cleaning staff was good, not a whole lot of interaction from the staff welcoming guests into the hostel however. Also, they have a Foosball table!

Loved the location. The first night at 10:45pm a man appeared in our female only dorm. Not the kind of mistake I’d expect from HI staff. So had to get out of bed to sort that out with reception. The next morning: no paper towels in the bathroom and no toilet paper at all in a stall. Perhaps staff should do more regular checks? Second night I was itchy all night from the bed sheets. Next morning: no hand soap in the bathrooms. For an HI hostel it was disappointing and I won’t return.

I know the staying properties in Vancouver are above average in price, but should really comment that this hostel doesnt worth at all. The breakfast is a disaster! Private rooms are really bad air conditioned in rainy and cold days. Kitchen is not organized and clean. Really disappointed and strongly recommend to search airbnb instead.

The internet didn’t reach most of the hostel and didn’t work where it did reach. Our room smelled awful. The lockers in the room were banged up. The beds had almost no privacy. It was fine if you just need a place to sleep for the night

I was disappointed by this hostel for it's lack of basic amenities. The shared rooms are poorly designed, with no plugs or lights by any of the bunks and only one main bright light. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The common spaces were quite cold, with a heater only in the lobby. Overall staff did not seem friendly, and barely acknowledged guests. To top it off, our floor was taken over by 10-12 yr old girls on a trip who kept us up to 11:30pm. Positives? Breakfast was good.
