Very good hostel! Beds are good, with a privacy curtain, lockers, plug and shelf. Everything is clean. Staff is very friendly. It was also quite social when I was there. The whole place feels very cozy. There is some noise from the outside at night, but it's not too bad. However, unless you want to go to bars on K-Road, the location is a bit far from everything.

Excellent Hostel on the K road. Great social kitchen/lounge space, as well as a nice TV room for downtime. There's always people around, with a nice buzz. Good for a low-key party atmosphere without being a full on party hostel!

Wonderful room with curtain in front of bed and shelf to charge phone etc. Very comfy! The restrooms were separated from the bedroom which I prefer. The kitchen and restrooms were overall clean and staff was great with lots of local knowledge and very friendly. Also, they helped as much as possible with a request of room change, help with luggage etc. Would be good with more hangers in the bathrooms and the security boxes under the beds to be separated from each other.

I really liked the hostel and the location. The staff is great and the facilities really clean. The only problem that was bothering me is that the room doors are impossible to close silently as they seem to be fire protection doors. So whenever someone came in I woke up... so no good nights rest when you’re in the wrong room ;)

I really enjoyed my stay at Haka Lodge - super clean, big kitchen with everything you need, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The dorm bed was very comfortable, and the wooden bunks are nice and sturdy so they don’t creak every time someone moves. Great location, but it’s a loud location being on K Rd - just bring ear plugs for sleeping and you’ll be fine. This was definitely one of my best hostel experiences! 10/10 would recommend.

Free wifi but very unstable. Great location. Friendly and very patient staff who helped us a lot with booking changes. Lack of social activities but it’s nice if you just want a quite stay.

Good location, really clean and the staff is kind. The rooms have not lockers, the kitchen area is close at 11pm and the staff that usually work are not locals so they have no information about the city.

It’s a very clean hostel, rooms are nice and big showers are good, the staff is nice and they would provide you with the info required. The location is not excellent, quiet close to the city Center but it’s on top of a hill so the way back is a bit of a hike, the whole street changes at night and it turns into the copy of kingscross in Sydney. I spent a week there and the hostel atmosphere is absolutely dead, but good if you’re working or looking for a job.

Nice, clean and relaxed hostel. Cooking can be a challenge as hobs take forever to heat up and no longer have any markings but kitchen is big and has an oven. Main issue is that the lounge/kitchen is locked at 11pm and TV room at 12pm, which leaves no where to sit or socialise. WiFi didn't work in my room so I ended up sitting on the stairs to use WiFi as there is no where else to be.
