All good !! This Hostel is very clean and secure, . It's basically just the dorms and nice space to hang out outside, . But it's adjacent ( opening into ) to a cool and chill café with great food and music . So you can have your espresso in a good ambiance first thing in the morning . The staff is super friendly and helpful . The location is also great . And there is an hourly bus to and from the airport 10 minutes away . Good vibes , I recommend for sure !

I really like this little hostel, and I’m glad to see it’s persevering through the pandemic. More than just a hostel, it’s really part of the community of Halifax’s North End, and if make yourself accessible, you’ll likely meet some interesting people, locals and travellers both. There’s a great little cafe downstairs, awesome staff, and one or two nice little common areas. The atmosphere isn’t what it once was for obvious reasons, but still social. All in all I highly recommend this hostel.

Well located (close to DT), good value for money. There is a very convenient cafe in the first floor The area could be a little sketchy but it is not a risk for travelers.

Limited reception hours--same as the attached cafe. Since I was arriving in the evening, I had to email them to arrange for a late check-in. They were accommodating and checking-in was smooth. But I had to call them on the day itself to remind them to send me a keycode for the door. Location is great for the citadel and restaurants. The space was small but functional. Common areas were cozy. Sleeping areas and bathrooms are rather worn and could be spruced up.

Great atmosphere, great people. Location wasn’t in the best neighborhood but really close to downtown. Fantastic coffee if it weren’t for the mice

The staff are nice people but don’t expect much service here, it’s just a bed. The rooms are rundown and need attention: the shelves on the walls were falling off, the curtain resembled an old bed sheet and didn’t block the sunlight, no AC either so it gets hot. The kitchen needs some deep clean not just wiping of surfaces, something was clearly rotting in the fridge for the week I was there. Washrooms well maintained however. It’s packed full of ppl but no social events anymore due to COVID

Canceled my booking. Will never go to Halifax or Nova Scotia. Understand why everyone moves away! Ugly mean people, ageist discrimination. Where are you from are you double vaccinated? Obviously or I wouldn't be traveling. I ran hostels for several years in the Mountain Region. Never imagined hostels would end up in the hands of Dictators.
