I really don’t know why this hostel is rated so badly. We experienced no problems whatsoever. The hostel was clean, safe, and the staff was friendly. The rooms were bright and the toilets smelled just like any hostel toilets. Very good value for the location, would recommend. ps: one thing to note (that is only printed in small letters) is that you have to pay 4.50€ for bedding and cannot use sleeping bags.

    Very Good

The rooms didn't have heating in them and were cold! There was radiators in the corridor and most rooms were trying to keep warm by keeping their room door open. I didn't want to do that as I had booked a female dorm place and was like the only woman in the hostel I saw atleast and didn't really feel safe sleeping with the door open as I was the only one in my room, which was othervise nice thing though. The hostels bathrooms had bit plumbing problem and smelled.

The hostel is underground, which doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. However, in this case there were no windows that could be opened aka no fresh air or daylight. The matrasses have all sorts of stains on them and there is a funky smell in the bathrooms. I was happy to have whole a dorm to myself, as there were quite some shady types around. Too bad, because the location itself is very nice (but the sign at the entrance is quite difficult to locate - R/Hamilton, it's a bit confusing).

The only good thing about this hostel is the location, in the center of the old town. The rest of the things are really awful, there is not staff on the hotel at all times, just from 9am to 5pm, so if we have any problems we don't have someone to get help. There are no windows on the rooms and the rooms are very dirty and small. Also there's just two bathrooms (one male and one female) for the entire hostel, with two showers on each and only one toilet.

The most unsanitary hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It always smelled like BO. The bathroom was disgusting and moldy. The beds were dirty. The only good thing was the location

    1) No women are working there, only arabic men. The receptionist started at 10 am, leaving at around 6pm. 2) The (only!) two bathrooms have been extremely dirty and stank so much, that I was not able to use it at all. Not cleaned during my three days stay! 3) You can't breathe in the tiny rooms without windows, in fact, the entire hostel is without windows or fresh air coming in. 4) NOT save for women! I was stuffed in a 4 bedroom with 3 male asylum seekers from Sudan, Somalia.
