Pretty good location (probably as good as you could hope for in Singapore), the staff are great and they have free toast all day which you can substitute for a meal or two which saves you having to buy food. Great hostel if you trying to travel cheaply!!

The hostel has everything you need. The staff are lovely as it is a very small hostel there is not a great atmosphere but its pretty good considering the size of the hostel. Downside is location but its not terrible.

    Fabulous

The staff were really friendly, the instructions online are v helpful for getting there. The shuttle is easy but if you are staying for 2-3 days I would recommend the MRT (metro) tourist pass as it’s cheaper overall (but a bit trickier to get to the hostel door but there are buses too) the free toast and nutella was great and there’s a small food court just outside that is cheap for singapore. The room’s AC was great. Didn’t meet many people in the hostel though as not a great common area.

Not a fancy hostel but it’s got a good standard. Bedrooms & bathrooms were kept clean, good A/C and great WiFi. 24/7 toast, spreads & hot drinks were much appreciated. Well connected bus to get to the city centre, took us about 50 minutes to walk to Marina Drive. Loads of good hawker centres around for food, highly recommend eating there for meals $2-5.

We stayed in the mixed shared room for 8 people. The room was small but okay. Unfortunately they had only two bathrooms for so much people. But for a short, creep stay it’s good.

    Very Good

The hostel was ok, it felt more like an apartment share though. I met some really nice people, but also came across some of the strangest people i’ve met travelling (guy meditating in his boxers in the dark, random girl losing it over noise & shouting at about 6 people in the hostel)The 8 bed dorm is way to small for that amount of people with their rucksacks, and could be doing with a really good clean. Showers were good. Location little out the way, but it was cheaper than most hostels.

    Good

I’ve stayed in 4 hostels in Singapore now, and whilst the Happy Snail has many great qualities, I’m not sure it deserves quite the rating it has on here! The breakfast was nice & the beds were comfortable, but they need to give the whole place a bit of a scrub. I was in the 8-bed room and thought it was a place for storage when the guy opened the door as there were suitcases and random stuff EVERYWHERE. Better suited to 6 beds in my opinion! 15 minute walk to MRT. Other hostels are more central.
