I spent 3 nights at Happy Snail and would recommend it to any budget traveler. It is one of the cheaper hostels in Singapore, but I was very comfortable staying there. It's a 15-minute walk to Outram Park MRT, which connects you anywhere in the city and is only about a 40-minute ride away from Changi Airport. There are some nice cafes nearby, a food court open all day and night and a few other 24-hour restaurants. You can walk to Chinatown and Maxwell Hawker Center. Overall, value for money!

I had an excellent stay; Singapore defenetly has a lot to offer for a few days. The hostel supports it all; studying, exploring and going out. The two volunteers who run the place are very friendly and always in for a chat. The hostel is pretty small, with 4? rooms and therefore feels more like an shared/student house. It is clean nonetheless, as it's well maintained. Will hit again when in Singapore!

Severed its purpose well. Nice and small hostel. Not much of a kitchen but there's plenty of food options under $5 just outside the building. Very clean and comfy beds.

The people at this hostel really made the experience for me, and I think without them, it wouldn't have been half as good. The location is a bit out of the way for the subway, but it's pretty close to the bus stop to get to chinatown and clarke quay. The beds are super comfy and the AC/hot water etc work well. The reception desk is only open till 3pm, so coordinate with the staff on check-in/out. Nutella and bread are there as promised and an actual lifesaver.

Happy Snail hostel was located a short distance (& cheap bus ride if using an MRT Ezlink card) from the center of the city. It was clean and quiet. The free toast and tea were nice. Large lockers in room. Towels and laundry for a fee. The hostel can be hard to find at first. Communication about check in information should be initiated by the hostel in advance, as reception is only open a few hours each day. Payment is cash only.

Location is a outside the downtown area, but within walking distance of MRT station. Beds are comfortable and lockers are available. The free bread and nutella are nice and water/sodas are available for 1 sgd. The hostel is on the small side, with just two bathrooms - but this wasn't too much of a problem during my stay. Overall a nice easygoing hostel at good value for Singapore.
