Group Booking Terms and Conditions

Because you are making a Group Booking, there are additional Terms and Conditions that apply. Please read them and click 'I Accept' below to continue with your booking

General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 4 weeks prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

Cancellation / No Show & Reduction in Numbers Policy

**For groups of 7 people or more, we require one full payment 7 days prior to arrival. This will be charged to the card used to make the booking or through alternative card made by the guest prior to this period.
**Cancellations or amendments for groups of 7 people or more must be made 7 days prior to arrival by email or the full booking value will be charged.

Additional Terms and Conditions

A code of conduct form is to be completed and signed by the group leader, either in advance or upon arrival. A refundable security deposit of £200.00 per group is also required if Stag / Hen groups (cash or credit card details), payable on arrival.

The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Junior / Primary School, Stag/Hen/Bachelor Party If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."

Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Hatters at Hilton Chambers is a modern hostel offering 3 star accommodation in the heart of the popular and bohemian Northern Quarter of Manchester’s City Centre. Hatters staff are fun, friendly and willing to help you plan your itinerary, book any tours and offer you suggestions for what do during your stay in Manchester.

Hatters Manchester has an on-site deli-diner and restaurant called West Corner, open from 7:30am until 12am and offering the best in breakfasts, brunches, burgers and everything in between! Guests of Hatters receive 15% discount on food and drink.

Hatters staff are fun, friendly and would love to help you plan your stay by arranging tours and activities in the city such as the Manchester United and Manchester City Stadium Tours.

Hang out in our new bar in the basement of our other Manchester hostel (2 mins walk away) and share your stories with the Hatters staff, meet the locals and find out all the great places and hidden gems that you need to visit during your stay in this great city!

Please bring photo ID with you - you need it to check in! Drivers license, passport or valid student id.
Groups of 6 people or more will be contacted prior to arrival and are required to pay the balance of their booking and provide a security deposit . A completed Code of Conduct form is required for check in.

Under 16s only permitted in private rooms when accompanied by an adult. Please note on occasion we apply a 2 night minimum stay at weekends.

    Place was great! Very friendly staff. Kitchen didn’t have a very long availability time which was slightly bothersome but overall great stay!

    Great place only thing was I was in a room of 10 by myself and got woken up at 1am to aggressive banging on my door. A strange man came into the room and I felt very threatened. When I confronted the man on the desk he tried to find the random guy but not sure what happened after. Just don’t think it was good enough that he got past the front desk and was able to go around the hostel because he obviously wasn’t staying there. Very lovely staff however need much better security.

    Disgusting customer service, certainly will not be recommending to stay here. Having paid a deposit and arrived at 05:00am (arrival time) we were told by the receptionist we were too late to check in. Richard Minter I think the employees name was rude, asked me and my friend what our jobs were! Completely unprofessional.. after an hour of waiting and getting nowhere we left the hostel.

Things to Note

All bookings are subject to preauthorisation of credit card details. For any details not authorised, the booking will automatically be cancelled. Please confirm the credit card details of your booking. It has to be the guests card details who is staying at the hostel.

We have a 24hr cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made by 12pm (noon) on the day before arrival. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first nightâs accommodation.

Group bookings (7 â 14 people): Group bookings must pay the full balance one week before the scheduled arrival date. If the booking is not paid by this time, we will charge the card used for the booking. We also need all names of the members of your group by this time. There is a one-week cancellation policy for groups; late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the full amount of their booking.

Please note that 4/6-bed dorms and 8/10-bed dorms are of equal value and are interchangeable.

Please note that we do not accept bookings for groups of 15 or more people online.

We have a maximum stay policy of two weeks.

Photo ID and a valid debit card are required upon check-in.

We are open on Christmas Day.

Please note that all guests must be 16 years of age or older to stay at Hatters at Hilton Chambers.
Under 16s only permitted in private rooms when accompanied by an adult.

Hatters enforces a strict 14 night maximum stay policy.
