From the airport, get the train directly to Manchester Piccadilly Station – 30 minutes in total. Dip into record stores, vintage shops, cafés and pubs in the surrounding streets. Then, take the tram to the iconic Old Trafford football stadium – a 30-minute journey. The Imperial War Museum is 30 minutes away via tram too, for your fix of British history.

Rooms and Dorms

When you book a bunk in our mixed or female-only dorms, free linen is included. Towels can be hired at the front desk, too. Keep small items of luggage secure in your locker – you'll need to bring your own padlock. If you're travelling as a group, get a bit more space in a single, twin or double private room with a shared bathroom.

Extras and activities

After a day on the streets of Manchester, head for the games room and have a go on the PlayStation. We have a TV for catching up on films or shows and a pool table, too. Our 24-hour reception is here to welcome you back after a big night out. Plus, we have a communal kitchen for cooking snacks or a late lunch the next day. Ask for a free city map when you check in to kick-start your tour.

    Superb

When I arrived at Hatters, they informed me that I had been upgraded to their new hostel, Selina, just down the street. Selina is in a good vibe location, close to bars and main attractions. Lovely staff, modern and cool common area and kitchen. I appreciate the curtains for each bed, cleanliness and motion sensor lights... however when you're taking a shower or going to the toilet, it kinda sucks when the lights go out. Nonetheless met some good friends and really enjoyed my stay!! Thank youuu

I was a bit nervous after reading some reviews but it did not live up to most of them ( most recent reviews on trip advisor say terrible) . For what it was it worth the price and the rooms were clean. The toilets were also clean but they are so old they can appear dingy. The only faults are there was no soap in the loo, no plug sockets in the room and when i arrived they couldn’t give me a key to the room (this was solved the next morning

Great location but showers are well below average and the whole place smells a bit like stale smoke.

Two of the 6 men's showers weren't working. Also, there isn't a working elevator and the 5th floor is 6 flights of stairs so be prepared

Probably the worst hostel I have ever stayed. Dirty (same trash for days for example in the toilet etc.), the keycards stopped working constantly, the breakfast was unattended (no bread for 15 min), some point guys in the girls’s showers (guys’s showers didn’t work?), the beds were very uncomfortable and noisy etc.

Not a hostel at all - a flop house. The toilets on the 3rd floor do not work, such that you have to walk down to the 1st floor. Not that this is worth the trouble considering that there is no hot water in the entire building. No extension cords in the rooms means that nobody can charge their devices. Clearly, this is a situation where the manager is trying to as little as possible.

I stayed only for one night in a top-floor private room. Cleanliness of the bads was so bad that my friend and me took away crab lice all over the body just from sleeping there for one night. Since this was the first night of our trip we had to deal with the insects during our preceeding trip! This was really annoying. I think you can expect at least clean sheets and insect-free beds - even though the accomodation is a hostel. What shame that such basic standards are not met in this place!
