Super great hostel/hotel! You're out in the jungle and can see a ton of wildlife. I saw three toucans from the pool alone! A really great place to relax and escape. The couple who owns the place is very sweet and really helpful with suggestions, not only for the area, but for all of Belize. The restaurant on the property is great too; nothing fancy, but the cook is really talented and prices are reasonable!

This was the perfect spot to stay and relax. Dave, Elaine and Jack are very friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful and the setting in the jungle is really nice. The food is very good and it's easy to feel welcome. As a plus there was a mix up with the cave tour and Dave went way out of his way to get me there so I wouldn't miss it. I don't know how to thank them enough. I highly recommend staying here

First of all, Dave and Elaine were lovely- so welcoming and interesting to chat to. They gave me advice about what was worthwhile doing and what wasn't, arranged the ATM cave tour which was amazing! - and even drove me to San Ignacio when they were on their way on my last morning. The food was great. They're building newer facilities such as a pool, but even without that it's one of the best places I've stayed. Great location- perfect to get away from the crowds and noise to rest in the jungle.

There was only one issue checking in where the amount difference owed was different than what hostel world said!

Booked 2 nights, stayed a week! Dave&Elaine were very friendly and always willing to help. Dave even gave me a lift to the bus stop during heavy rains! I like how set back from the road the property was but could still easily go into town. Elaine prepared delicious vegetarian meals! Love her omelettes and fruit salads! You feel like you're at a hidden haven. Beautiful birds. Sunrise views. Nice clean cabanas. Hammocks for lounging. This is where one goes to relax!!! Haha I'll def visit again!!!

An excellent place to stay. Great food cooked on-site, a clean pool to relax in, and otherwise a quiet peaceful place to be. The only thing is that it's a little easy to miss if you're on a bus as it's truly a hidden haven. However, it's pretty easy to get to a bus from the hostel and get to wherever you want to go (San Ignacio, Guatemala, etc.).

Pro’s: Jack’s cooking Walk around the area with Sam (he works there, is a local - my highlight) The pool Good bathrooms Con’s: Atmosphere, would suggest to travel here with a group (although perfect if you want secluded and quiet) Location can be challenging, great if you have a car I didn’t feel very welcome there by Dave or Elaine Be sure to be across the rules around food or you may go hungry. Bring your own food if you can however there are no kitchen facilities for dorm room

They're working on building it up but for now you have to bring your own atmosphere/group really. Nice quiet place though and had a great dinner.

Initially a nice experience, dorms nice & big (lockers only take very small padlocks - inconvenient), showers hot & clean. We were told all about the work they had undertaken which was great, but not told we couldn't use the kitchen (we should have read the small print too), when we arrived the kitchen was open so one couldn't read the staff only sign, we went to bed starving as they didn't sell any food. Check-out was very flustered and we weren't treated very nicely and left a sour taste
