Property Description

Hiroshima Hostel EN is a hostel with a bar / izakaya at ground level. It was created with the intention to connect people, be they travelers or locals looking for a drink and a good time.

The hostel is located on the second floor of EN and offers beds in a traditional Japanese style, offering foreign visitors a part of Japanese culture and Japanese guests a reminiscent feeling.

We offer a mixed dormitory, female-only dormitory and a private room that fits up to 3 guests.
Every bed in the dormitories has its own private space and is closed off by a traditional noren. Created in Hiroshima, the tatami flooring is both sturdy and comfortable at the same time. On top is a futon to experience the true way of Japanese sleeping. It is said that this type is especially good for your posture and back.
A personal safety box is also found inside and is equipped with a lock.

The private room is made in a traditional Japanese style. Tatami flooring and futons to sleep on. The private room is ideal for families traveling together or guests looking for some more privacy.

The common space has tatami flooring section where guests can relax and hang out. Try some origami, read a book or have a chat with some of your fellow travelers.
There is a refrigerator to store your food or drinks.

Facilities consist of 2 restrooms, 2 showers, 4 sinks, hairdryers and rental towels, toothbrushes, etc.

The bar / izakaya is open in the evening from Thursdays till Monday* and serves local drinks and food from the Hiroshima area. Try some smoked venison, wild board frankfurter and many more special dishes.
We also have a good selection of local and nationwide sakes and rotate our selection based on the season and newly found gems. Other special drinks include wine from Miyoshi and craft beer from Kure.

Guests staying at the hostel get a free “Welcome” drink every night they stay over, so they can just sit back and relax or start a conversation with the staff or some other patrons at the bar. Whenever it’s possible we like to eat together with our guests and make some special Hiroshima meals like Oyster Hotpot.

* The bar is still open for guests staying at the hostel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. (Drinks only) View House Rules

Amazing hostel in Hiroshima with a nice bar and good food. Conveniently located close to a subway station which connects the Hiroshima station. Lovely staff who were so kind polite and helpful. Do visit the Okonomiyaki place the Hostel suggests around in the same area called Lopez

We loved this Hostel! The staff were so helpful friendly and fun we had an amazing time in Hiroshima and a huge part was this Hostel. The atmosphere was great, we formed a huge group of mixed nationalities and some locals that got together and randomly went to karaoke which is just across the road! The food was very nice. We tried the Oysters, Boar Sausage and the Fried Chicken all I would have again :) Its about a 30min walk by the river to get to the Dome but close to the station otherwise.

Had a great time even though it was for one night . It is super close to the station, with fair amount of places to eat. The hostel staff was amazing. Felt more like being with friends than anything else and in the end ,that’s what I would consider them . I highly recommend! Will be staying again! -アリ

My stay here was very comfortable, and there's nothing to complain about. Although it wasn't my reason for choosing this hostel, a one free drink (soft or alcoholic) was provided every day in the bar area in the entrance. The staff were very friendly and informal, making it feel more home-like than hotel-like, which I enjoyed. I was able to have fun practicing Japanese with them (and conversing in general).

Really cozy hostel in a great location very close to the station, and manageable walking distance to the peace park and castle. The welcome drink for each night of your stay was a really nice touch and awesome way of encouraging travellers to meet each other in the bar downstairs.

    - 5 min walk from nearest train station - 20 to 30 min walk to peace memorial - Izakaya on 1st floor with free drink each night booked, however only open from 6-10 pm -convenience store around the corner (useful for when the bar closes) - 2nd floor common area is only a raised tatami mat area - bunks are a little firm but they’re supposed to be tatami style so no problem getting used to - coffee/tea in morning with free refills for 100 yen - clean showers but on a weird timer
