K's House Ito Onsen was a great place to relax and chill out. The staff were very friendly and helpful with great advice for how to take advantage of the area. They had great recommendations for dinner (the unagi restaurant across the street) or breakfast (the fresh fish restaurant on the beach). I had a single room on the third floor with a riverside view. Used the private bath in the evening and the main onsen in the morning. All in all a luxury Ryokan experience at a fraction of the price.

Such a nice hostel: the house is beautiful, the common rooms with the view on the river invite you to spend hours there with a good book etc. and the in-house Onsen is great! And if you want to explore other Onsens around, you can get a reduction voucher at the hostel reception (the one with the outdoor pool is very nice). Definitely the nicest hostel I stayed in during my 3 weeks travel in Japan. Ito and the coast is also worth a visit, nice to be in a small and calm city for a change.

Hostel was in a great location near the train station, staff was super friendly and helpful, and having the full kitchen was great. The ryoken style bed was comfortable and clean. I didn't use the public onsen, but the private one was nice. My stay coincided with the Japan Rugby World Cup quarter-final match, and the owner got sake and put the game on in the communal room, which was fun! I highly recommend the town of Ito, as well as the hostel, to anyone who is on the fence!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ito House, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Jacopo (I believe is his name) was absolutely lovely and helpful with food recommendations. We stayed in a private room with private bathroom, no issues with cleanliness and had a very comfortable stay. Private and Public onsens were great, never crowded or had to wait for private onsen. Would recommend staying here in Ito!
