This place is great! It's hard to beat the value for the price and there's a fun, relaxing vibe. The courtyard is absolutely amazing with lots of places to relax and enjoy a book or to hang out and meet new people. Would recommend. [side-note: idk who's in charge of this, but the questions on this form where you're asked to rate the security, location, etc. have no indication of the actual scale; are we intended to assume the ranks are 1-5 left to right with 5 as highest? poor survey design]

once called everglades hostel, it had no more canoe or bike rentals november '19. the cheery yard turned out to be polluted by traffic. also, the yardwork crew was kicking up alot of dust and noise, probably just a temporary thing. there were several people complaining about stolen things - the lockers were too small and out of the way. one fellow hooterville camper said there had been a cast of regulars that were oddballs. good netflix.

They've put a huge amount of effort into the communal areas. Amazing fresh water spring and treehouse. Kitchen is very well equipped. Beds are big and comfy but there was a distinct lack of hostel atmosphere.

Just staying there for one night, but tried to leave as early as possible. First the positive - the outside area is lovely setup and really chilled-out, one can see that a lot of effort was spent there. Unfortunately, not in the rooms. At least our room (8 bed male) was really shabby, with plastic mattresses and a shared bathroom without lock. It felt that half of the people in the room kind of lived there by the looks of the beds. Overall the interior area just felt shabby, old and unwelcoming
