    Very Good

I stayed here during Carnaval and it was the perfect location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating but mainly only speak Portuguese, however was still possible to communicate. It's a very basic hostel, but if your just looking for something cheap and a place to sleep it is fine.

Much better than the reviews suggest. Perfect carnaval location. Rooms small hot and uncomfortable, but they were nonetheless pretty clean.

Perfect location for carnival. The staff are so welcoming and kind . Great value for money. If you’re looking for very basic accommodation and somewhere just to sleep , this is good. Not suitable for solo travellers as it is not a social hostel. It is located in a busy area so it is relatively safe.

Stayed here for Carnaval as it was the only affordable hostel in Rio. Very simple and very basic, you should only stay there for 2 reasons: save money and location. This place is very noisy, hot, poorly ventilated, with barely any windows and with strong smell of damp. On the plus side the location is good next to the Glória tube station, in relatively save area. The staff is vigilant and doesn’t let any strangers in. The dorm rooms are locked and there are small security lockers in the rooms.

I decided to give out the bed , no to stay the third night even it been pay , because of discomfort and cleanliness. The heavy rain also causing flooding in front of hostel. I been travel for over 90days this trip ,almost all the dorms I stay I was satisfy. By using this website, I find it is easy to get an affordable bed , thank you for that. my review this hostel only a guide to those who want a good stay. Really a bad experience.

This is an incredibly cheap place, however, it is value for money. 70BRL for a private room over New Years meant I was very happy with my stay. The room was tiny and swelteringly hot (but it did have a good fan). There are no comfortable social areas. The wifi doesn't extend to the rooms. None of these things were an issue for me, but it's only fair to mention them for future guests. If you're looking for an uber-cheap, private room and don't care too much for social space or usable wifi, this i

Absolutely filthy. Staff were nice but the atmosphere is terrible, and they didn't even have soap in the bathrooms. My bed and walls were covered with stains. Cheap but not worth it.

Room stank like mold and moth balls. All my clothes, even ones that I didn't take out of my bag now stink. I had a friend over for 30 minutes one afternoon, and the guy comes banging on the door demanding $16USD "guest fee" I mean I guess that's reasonable but I wasn't going anywhere. It was completely unnecessary to bang on my door and bother me. He could have waited until I was walking by reception. No kitchen. No Ac. Mini fridge, sink, toilet, shower in my private room worked well.
