We felt like we were in our own private little house! Lovely and quiet, clean, good cooking facilities, super friendly staff and only a short walk from the main square. Beautifully located and would recommend to anyone. Great value for money.

Lovely staff were very helpful and amusing and they kept the kitchen very clean. There were sharp knives in the kitchen, and a knife sharpener; how unusual is that? No tin opener though :-(.

Lovely quiet little hostel in a perfect location to stop for the night. It has an adorable cat that came and gave me cuddles as I sat on the sofa 🥰

First off the lady that works here is probably the nicest receptionist I’ve ever met. Shes so calm and sweet, speaking in a soft tone. I’ll never forget her. Right out back is the river, which is amazing. The beds are all simple, nothing bad i can say. There isnt much of an ambience. Its peaceful and quiet here. I liked that a lot. It is not a social hostel. You come here to get work done, maybe do some reading and writing, chill, get a good nights’ rest. The only negative is weak internet.

This place is amazing! We arrived here after over a month of cold showers, and some pretty dodgy hostels in Colombia. This was like coming home! Kitchen is spotless, showers were hot, room was lovely and comfortable, and location was great! Now, we were the only ones staying there, so it's a very chill, quiet buzz. But if you're looking for a place to relax, and have a good base for hiking, that's really clean, this is the place. We loved our stay!

I've stayed at Gaia before, and one reason why I decided to stay there this time is because it's really easy to do clothes washing there. At most hostels, you have nowhere to dry a few clothes if you don't want to use a washing machine and a dryer. But, at Gaia, they have a large area of outside clothes lines (and pegs). So it's very easy to wash a few items of clothing every day, and put them out in the sun - and the Boquete wind! - to dry. Also good hot water in the showers.

Amazing hostel/hotel. Not a hostel vibe. Amazing if you are looking for quit relaxation. We had a private room right on the river. No social activities and the receptionist only speaks spanish. so close to city but far enough away to feel secluded and hear wildlife.
