We only stayed one night, but we were received well, and the place was everything we could have hoped for for the price. Simple and clean with all the facilities we needed.

Mixed feelings, was a good value for money but the staff was often absent and the internet was up only half of the time (I needed to tell the lady twice in one night to restart the modem)

Staff was great about moving me to a single room upon request. My room went right to the lobby so it was a bit noisy. Not much airflow unless you left the window open that literally went into the lobby open. The room had a bit of a moldy smell to it. The sink was leaking so there was a bottle behind to collect water. The toilet was also leaking some water onto the floor. The TV did not work or have a remote even. Bed was comfortable by the blanket had stains.

Great place to just sleep for the night. I wouldn't expect much as there was only two working electrical sockets for a room of 10 beds. Very basic place but clean and comfortable environment nonetheless

Pretty run of the mill hostel with the usual things you would expect. Nothing that screams out to definitely stay here again, but nothing that would turn me away either. Wasn't many people there so it was quiet during our stay. Make sure to lock your room window that looks into the hallway. Something you can overlook easily. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Let us keep our bags there while we went to Machu Picchu for free, so that was a very nice gesture!

Made a reservation several days in advance at Gran Paititi, but when we arrived we were told the hostel was full (although I suspect this was a lie as it appeared to be completely empty). The reception didn’t even bother turning her computer on before telling us she was full and didn’t have our reservations, then asking us to go somewhere else. I asked her to cancel our reservation through the website and she obviously didn’t, or I wouldn’t be writing this review.

Barely saw the staff and the bathrooms were filthy. The location was good and the bed was comfy but that was about it. Decent in terms of a cheap place to crash before heading to machu picchu, but don't expect much.
