Property Description

Fantastic colonial property very well located in the old town of Quito. It has a great cozy atmosphere in the middle of a cobble-stone street. It is administered and attended by the owner himself. Services included in the price: Wi-fi (free internet), well equipped kitchen, reception 24 hours, restaurant, terrace, BBQ and garage. The price also includes taxes. You do not have to worry because we provide soap and towels.

Other services not included in the price are: Laundry area, taxi service 24hours and guided tours.

Extremely competitive prices that you will not find anywhere else with such great quality. In other words: The quality-price ratio is unbeatable compared to any other hostel/hotel in Quito.

The property is 50 meters close to the 'Cumando Bus Station' which takes you anywhere within the city (Buses cost only 25 cents). It is also only two blocks far from 'La Ronda' which is a beautiful picturesque street full of restaurants, pubs with live music and typical ecuadorian places. You can see 'El Panecillo' (symbolic statue of the city) right from the terrace of the property.

I loved this quiet non-party hostel with friendly owners. Wifi was a little weak but they were having troubles with the system. Very warm & clean beds. Hot shower too

This is an old quint building in old Town Quito. Many indigenous people are selling and dressed in colorful clothing. The room and hostel was welcoming and quiet, and centrally located. The manager spoke English and was helpful. Good breakfast. The roof patio was pleasant.

Myself and my partner are travelling in Ecuador and have really enjoyed our stay in La Posada Colonial. Very helpful staff, homely atmosphere and rooms, yummy breakfast and fantastic location. We felt so welcome during our first stay that we booked to stay again when we got sick and had to return to Quito. I lovely place to feel safe and recover as well as a pad to explore the city from. Not for the fancy traveller but suited us perfectly.

La Pasada Colonial is excellent value for money - very clean, staff very pleasant and for the price the facilities were very good. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay someone close to the historic old town on a shoe string, particularly groups or couples. It is very calm but, given this, perhaps not the best for solo travellers who are looking to meet new people or those looking to party (although La Rhonda is a stones throw away and plenty of partying there on the weekend!)

Beautiful building in an excellent location (old town, just blocks away from La Ronda, bus stops very close). The room was spacious and comfy and there’s an excellent view from the terrace! While we had a few chats with some other guests, overall it’s a very quiet place to stay. If you’re looking for a lively social vibe this may not be your place, but for the quality, price and location it can’t be beat!

Amazing hostal but the bell entry system in the middle of the night has to be changed ... wakes up everyone. Can you not have a flashing light system in reception rather than the bell ringing throughout the night? Also can some of the doors be closed to keep down noise in the night? That is the only fault with this hostel.

    Fabulous

The hostel was located within Old Town, a block away from La Ronda and close to 2 bus stations. 5-10 min walk to museums/squares/etc. within Old Town. The building itself is pretty old which adds to the character but that also means sound easily gets pass the cracks & the floor creaks. The kitchen looked a bit sketchy. The ensuite washroom was cramped but hot water was available. There's no heat so it gets COLD at night (October). Front desk lady speaks good English & was very nice!

I can't say anything about that hostel, as they were fully booked even I received a confirmation about this booking. As I arrived, the receptionist brought me to another hotel near it, called Grande Hotel. That was very nice.
