I enjoyed my stay at Hostal Laskar very much. The location is not directly in the centre, but as everything in San Pedro is very close, it only takes you 10 min walk to get to the plaza. I can highly recommend this place for anyone who just needs a basic place to sleep.

Nice enough hostel, decent common areas to hangout in and good location. Facilities felt a bit dated but everything worked properly. Would recommend and would stay there again in Atacama as it was one of the cheaper options and still a solid place to stay.

We had a good time in this hostal. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Only 2 bathrooms for the hostal but it was enough at the time of our stay. They had a problem with water in San Pedro (sometimes there is no water), so we couldn't shower for a day but the staff was nice there is a tank for this propuse so we could go to the bathroom and cook. However, you can't stay in the common areas after midnight, but I think it's the same in every hostal in town.

A little out of town but the walk isn’t too bad. It’s a very basic hostel but the WiFi worked most of the time and the hot water was good. Staff helpful and generally no major complaints. For half the price of staying in the middle of town, if you don’t mind things being a bit basic then I think this place is better value for money for you.

Good hostel, a short walk from the bus station and the centre of town. Our private room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The kitchen was decent and kept clean too. The wifi wasn't great and there wasn't always hot water, but these are to be expected from being in the desert

Hostel is pretty basic but you get what you pay for. Staff were brilliant at check in and really helpful. However my girlfriend had 3 items go missing on her laundry, she then asked the reception which eventually found 2 of the items. She then asked an additional 5 times for the last item which was never found. 3 other guests all had missing items. The hostels only way of attempting to reimburse her for a $90 loss was by giving us the laundry for free. Be aware of their laundry service

Nice hostel, especially the outdoor area. Quite clean, however, we would have appreciated it if the bathrooms were cleaned daily...

A few things... First, ask which room you are in before paying, if youre next to the front door i'd say find another hostel unless you are deaf/ enjoy sleeping in hotel lobbies. Theres 2 toilets for around 40 people which makes it somewhat difficult to have a dump in peace. If youre anywhere beyond the 10th person having a shower you might as well schedule in an ice bath because there will be no hot water left. Saw a stray dog peer in, considered refuge but decided outside was better
