    Superb

Faisal the owner is the man and always there to help if you need to be driven to town or the supermarket. The hostel is great, very very very clean (spotless everyday). Clean showers and very good air conditioning. Very comfortable and private bunk bed. Big kitchen with everything needed is available.

    Fabulous

Faisal, the owner of Palo Alto is an amazing guy, who does everything he can to make you feel welcome on San Andrés and have the best of your experience there. Here and there the hostels facilities could be better, but this ia all compensated by the great atmosphere that is created due to Faisal‘s commitment to the hostel and his hospitality. I cannot understand the people who complain about the wifi, because the wifi on the whole island is horrible and the wifi of Palo Alto works well.

    Very Good

The price of the hostel is for the island completely good. But there are still a lot of things to improve. For example is the reception not 24 hours occupied, this means it needs to be a lot of luck to get into the hostel. The shower is working, but it needs a lot of time because there is not that much water getting out. The wifi is working, if there are less people in the hostel. The hostel is pretty small and that makes this place really nice, but still there are a lot of things to improve.

    Good

The place has no WiFi, no matter what the owner says, there is not a regular connection to the internet for guests. Place is clean and has a good environment. Kinda far from stores and downtown. Water for showers was salty in my opinion There was no one to receive us, we had to call and the owner showed up 10 minutes later (with us still waiting outside). Do not take his rent a bike service, you can find something better at downtown

Terrible hostel because: 1. There is no reception- I had no one to open the door for me, had to wait. 2 girls came at 3am and awoke everyone because there was no one to check them in. 2. There is no wifi- Although Palo Alto claims to have wifi, it does not. The owner connected us to his phone and never told us that the hostel's wifi was not working. 3. All the bathrooms smell like bathroom waste! Despite cleaning, the sink, toilet and shower smells like sewage. It is horrible.

The information told me that i can check in 24/7 but when i came around 11 pm (confirmed in advance) there was nobody. A other guest had to open the door and tell me everything. She said it was the same for her and that a neighbour needed to call the owner. I never saw the owner and was very short in call and whatsapp. The kitchen and bathroom were dirty and the rooms were clean. There were no lockers and the doors and windows werent really secured. I didnt enjoy staying in the hostel.
