It’s okay as a place to stay for Carnival, wouldn’t really recommend it otherwise.

The cost was too high for an uncomfortable place and there were too many people for just 1 bedroom

This is honestly just 50 beds crammed into a normal sized house. They overbooked it and had to turn people away that had booked months in advance. It’s cash only and way overpriced for Carnival so I had to make multiple trips to the ATM. And I was one of the lucky ones that it didn’t take 2 hrs to actually check in. On the bright side, the shitty conditions led to everyone becoming good friends in order to survive the stay and it was a hell of a lot of fun as we all just went out together.

An average hostel - I went for Carnaval, so of course it was very expensive. But the hostel was essentially just a house with a lot of people crammed in. People who had booked were getting turned away and the facilities could not handle the amount of people staying there. A reasonably good location and safe neighbourhood. The owners were nice but had to unlock the door for you each and every time you left or came back. The aircon was directly on my bed and freezing.

Book this only if there are no other options in Barranquilla, which might happen if booking for carnival. First off the woman who runs this place has no idea what she’s doing and took 20+ minutes to check me in (the people behind me waited 2 hours no joke), on top of that I booked a bed in a six bed dorm which they had converted to a stuffy 9 person room! The place didn’t even have toilet paper. That said, the back patio was a nice way to meet fellow travelers and it’s close to the parade route.

Essentially a house that is turned into a hostel for Carnival. The woman who worked there was the sister of the owner and she essentially wasn't able to sleep for the five days. The prices paid for what we got was insane even accounting for the price rise during this time of year. There was no locks on the doors and limited facilites for the number of people they managed to cram into the house. There is no real check in system, and no one I spoke to got the room they had actually booked.

Terrible. Check in was a nightmare. Place was disgusting. No drinking water available. Dorms cramped. A/C didn’t work. Dirty. Bonded with the others that were experiencing the Fyre Fest-esque experience.
