We loved our stay at Hostel 28. The staff were super friendly, on arrival a map was pulled out for us and significant attractions to see were marked. We had a loft room on the top level, which was large and spacious. The location was fantastic!

Best value single room you will get in Brugge. Excellent location. Had some issues (the shower head holder was a bit broken so it had to lean up against the wall to work properly, the bathroom sink drained very slowly, there was a stain on the doona cover and it was ripped), but worth it to have a private room at that price. It was also in a perfect location. Easy to get to all the main attractions of Brugge, and a 15min walk to the train station.

It’s a good place actually.Nothing much to say. There wasn’t cloth hanging hooks in the toilets & they are charging for even glass of hot water which is not acceptable. Otherthan that no problem. I highly recommend to stay.

    Very Good

    22 Jan 2020
Our room was clean, the radiators didnt work but they had a little heater in the room wich was noisy but did his job. The walls are like paper, you can hear everything. What bothered us was the fact that you had to pay for leaving your bags there if the room wasnt ready yet, we dint have much money so we had to walk 3 hours with our big bagpacks and end super tired. The stairs to the showers were a challenge: it was like climbing, very inclined. What is good about this hostel: ubication.

    Very Good

Hostel was fine for two nights, looks a little more run down than in pictures. Friendly staff, easy check in/out. Not having to bring our own towels was a plus.

The staff was very friendly, but they were rarely available at the front desk. The bathroom was very dirty and had no lights. There was no heat during our stay, and we were given an attic room in mid-November with only one blanket for the two of us. We were able to leave our luggage in lockers all day after checkout, free of charge. The location was decent-- fairly central & approx. 15 minute walk from train station. Had to hike up a lot of very steep steps to the rooms.

The location was great, staff friendly and nice and quiet but the en-suite was ridiculous - it is a cabin/portaloo style in the room, the drain smelled really bad and made the room smell. The bed was not very well put together and felt like it was going to break.

Worst place I have ever stayed. Check in was very difficult, and room was horrible. The walls were thin and we could clearly hear our neighbours having intercourse and music from another room, keeping us up all most of the night. We decided to check out a night early, and we’re promised a refund for the rest of our booking. After paying for a different hotel, he called me and said they did not want to refund me and had already taken the full charge off of my card. Horrible stay, lying staff. 0/10
