Overview

Welcome to Hostel 7 Santi, your peaceful haven in Florence. We’re in a converted convent that dates back to the 1800s, and that tranquil vibe still remains today. You’ll feel it whether you're enjoying a rich espresso from our café out on the sun-soaked terrace, sipping on budget-friendly drinks in the bar, or relaxing in the common room with interesting, like-minded travellers. When hunger strikes, home-cooked food is available at our-site restaurant. There's also an elevator to help get you – and that heavy backpack – to your room.

Location

You’ll find us in the Coverciano neighbourhood, which is just a 10-minute bus ride from the city centre – the no.17 bus stop is just steps from our hostel. Get in touch with your cultural side by visiting the Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo (accompanied by plenty of gelato, of course). If you fancy exploring a little more of Tuscany, we’re only nine minutes’ walk from the Campo di Marte train station. Florence airport is only 45 minutes away on the bus, too.

Rooms and Dorms

When it comes to rooms the choice is yours: will you go for a quiet twin, double or triple private (if you love to unpack all over the room)? Or perhaps you’d prefer a mixed or female-only dorm to get to know other travellers. Either way, your linen is included, as are reading lights for that last chapter before midnight. Some rooms are en-suite. There are ceiling fans keep you cool at night, and hot showers to wake you up in the morning.

Extras and activities

Need recommendations for how to spend your time in Florence? Just chat to the friendly multi-lingual staff at our 24-hour reception. They’ll be happy to share their local knowledge, give you a free city map and point you to the best pizza places in town! Use our free Wi-Fi to plan your route before you go and save cash on data roaming. Want to explore on check-out day? No worries – just leave your bags with us in our secure luggage storage room.

The hostel is located in an old convent, which makes the atmosphere amazing. It's not luxe, but it has all you need. It's not near Florence SMN (central station is over thirty minutes walk), but it's one stop away from Firenze Campo di Marte (single=1,35€)

The hostel is conveniently located by bus routes. The bathroom and rooms are very clean just like the pictures, the room cleaning staff is awesome!!! kudos to the hardworking ladies. New towels without additional charge, the bed sheets were clean, bed was comfortable. The only issue i will point out will be the mosquitoes at night, you will definitely need repellent to keep them away, the room neighbors slamming the doors constantly, the check in staff could be a little nicer.

    Very Good

The lockers do not work here. I asked the staff and they said they would reimburse me if I could buy something to make it work. Most guests were older, like 40+. It is a not a "let's me people and make new friends" type of hostel. It seems like a lot of housing for locals to be honest. It is about a 40 min walk to the David Statue and a 10 min walk to a train station. The doors to the hostel rooms were very broken down, if I pushed hard I would have broken the door. Very cheap hostel though!

Honestly this is a classic example of you get what you pay for. It is far from everything, there was a cockroach and mosquitoes in the room, the window was broken and nearly fell on me when I tried to open it, rooms are boiling, unhelpful staff, no vibe/hard to meet people. All manageable if you are only staying a couple nights and are happy to make do for the sake of a cheap bed, but not exactly the shining example of what a hostel can be!
