Hostel AVA is located in the very heart of Ljubljana in a beautiful historic building, which primarily accommodates the Academy of Visual Arts.
All premises that are available to our guests seethe with creative energy. All rooms are housed in student's studios and drawing rooms, which gives the hostel a unique character.
Our friendly staff will warmly welcome you and gladly provide you with the information about our capital and offer you some useful tips on how to spend your time in Ljubljana in the best possible way.



There is an additional tourist tax for person under the age of 30 is 2.07, above the age of 30 is 3.13 euro per person per night

Staff not available, left luggage area unsecure, very dirty, bathrooms very old and tired and not pleasant to use, kitchen facilities minimal and no washing up materials. If I had not already paid a lot of money to stay there, I would have walked out and found somewhere else. Should not be part of hostel world network in my opinion.

firstly, I was asked to pay in cash when I arrived and had to go search for atms. This was not mentioned in the reservation nor did I get a message to advise that they only accept cash. secondly the bedding smelled of sweat, it seemed clean however the smell was present, and I didn't get a good night sleep. Would not recommend.

Great hostel! Great location, good rooms, nice kitchen area, and places to leave bicycles inside and safe. Beds very comfortable and the showers were clean, really good hostel!
